Elena P.O.V.

This feeling that went through the room as soon as Lisa had begun to play, was indescribable. Nobody said a word, no one dared to move.

Elena's eyes were on Lisa, she was leaning against Stefan and smiled. They never see her play before. Surely she knew that Lisa was musically and that she possessed an incredible voice, but that she could control a piano like that?

Her fingers seemed only lightly touching the keys as they flew with speed over them. Like she wouldn't do anything else before in her life. And then it was already finished and she stopped in her movement, let fade away the last note and said nothing.

"My mom taught us - me relatively early, how to play piano and how to control everything at the same time without getting confused. It was hard at first, but over the time there is no need for paying on certain things. They just happen, purely out of habit. When you have practiced a piece for a long time, you need no longer to look at the key - to know what you have to press.", as she spoke again, her voice was so softly and quietly.

"You play beautifully, Lise.", Caroline smiled gently at her.

"That's what I did before we moved here.", Lisa turned to her. "Playing piano and drums. Singing with my sisters and teaching my little siblings. Sitting inside and thought about random stuff and now-"

"And now you are living here, still playing piano and still sitting inside talking to friends. Being pregnant and living in your boyfriends home, because-"

"We understand, Damon!", Elena interrupted him angrily.

"Damon, did anyone ever told you that you always exactly know what to say?", Jo raised an eyebrow. "If not, then you should think about it."

"I say what I think."

"And that's the problem.", she winked and put her cup on the table next to the couch.

"You didn't told us.", Elena said and met Lisa's gaze. "That you can play."

"We hadn't time for it. And it's not that incredible to-", she began explaining, but was interrupted from Harry: "I don't want hear anything of it!"

"I'm just ... telling the truth.", she looked back to Harry and followed him with her eyes, while he walked toward her. "There are people who are much better than me."

"But not in this town.", Bonnie and Harry replied in unison.

"But in the next guaranteed."

"I think rather less.", Harry sat down beside her on the stool.

"Christina can play very well and Lauren exerts more than ever." Lisa told him, smiling proudly. "You should have seen how she attempts to songs that are still too hard for her. But I think in a few months she'll get it. They learn so quickly when they're still young."

Harry nodded understandingly.

"Dani and Amy will focus on the guitar and Katherine-", but now she was interrupted by Jo, who asked: "I'm sorry for interrupting you, but why does it sounds as if you wouldn't see anything of it? "

"My father is very imperious and what he says is generally observed. There is no directed against his word. And I suppose ... my siblings were no longer in school since the day?", Lisa looked alternately to Elena, Caroline, Stefan, Bonnie, Jeremy, Tyler and Harry.

"Well, we didn't see them.", Caroline hesitated.

"That is probably evidence enough that I'm right.", Lisa pressed her lips together.

"There is a solution for almost everything.", Jo smiled gently. "Maybe time brings answers. I'll be right back."

"Everything alright, Jo?", Elena furrowed her forehead.

"Yes, I need something from my purse."

"And I need to go to the bathroom and you-", Lisa stood up from the stool looking at Harry. "- prove your skills ... on the piano as well. "

"That's not fair. I can't play that good.", he shook his head helping her climbing over the stool.

"Liar.", she winked

Caroline, Bonnie and Elena laughed at her answer, while the boys only grinned.

"Then start piano boy.", Damon winked at Harry, who rolled his eyes.

"I'll embarrass myself.", he murmured.

"No, you won't.", Lisa smiled at him straightening her black sweater. "I promise."

And so lead unwittingly the attention of bystanders on her stomach. Most of the time they had seen her sitting, with bent knees. Now they noticed how quickly her stomach had grown in the short time and already showed a clear curve.

"What should I play?", Harry asked thoughtfully.

"I don't know ...", she thought aloud and giggled after that: "Maybe - All my ducklings?"

"You're mean!", Harry now laughed as well. "I can do better."

"Then start.", she went up the few stairs and strolled to the bathroom door, which was a few doors away.

"When did she decided to talk again?", Jeremy asked while Harry turned around to face the room sitting with his back to the piano.

"This morning. I was a little surprised, but I'm glad that we started talking. It couldn't continue like that, right?"

"No.", Bonnie shook her head. "It isn't good for her - and the baby. "

Elena's gaze shifted from the filled space to the corridor and continued to Jo, who looked at her phone.

"Everything okay?", she furrowed her forehead worriedly.

"I'm fine.", Jo put her phone back into her purse looking back at her: "Everything sounds good?"

"What-", Damon began confused. "- should sound good?"

"It's all evenly.", Stefan nodded and turned to his brother: "The heartbeat."

"Oh-", he understood.

Lisa P.O.V.

After I finished, I went back slowly. I let them time, to give them the opportunity to speak. I knew it was confusing that I was so suddenly back to normal. How normal it could be. I couldn't just go on as before. The time didn't stop for me and didn't gave me the moment I needed to realize that my parents let me down where I really needed them the most.
And that hurts me deeply. They were always there and knowing now that they had turned their backs on me, was terrible.

I stopped at the stairs and looked into the room, to my friends. Friends I - compared with my family - didn't know long. But they were here on the contrary to them. And I knew I was in a fix without them and felt at the same moment as much gratitude as never before. Slightly smiling I took a deep breath.

"It's good to know who is behind and in front of you, right?", I heard Jo's voice, which made me turning my head in her direction. "I'm sorry."

"Sorry, for what?", I furrowed my forehead confused.

I saw how her eyes briefly slid into the room, but I realized faster than I liked what she meant. I noticed how my skin lost its color and the pain announced itself again as I was gently pulled from the top of the stairs and directly in unknown, but pleasant arms. I couldn't process what just happened as I was pulled into nothingness, where the pain faded and warmth surrounded me. I felt soon nothing more than calm and tranquility.
