There she stood. On the terrace. So lost but at the right place. Traces of tears were on her cheeks. But she looked almost the same as always. A little bit thin and narrow, but that was from the coma, I think.

I smiled through my tears and let go of Christina's hand. It was time to take my little sister back. How long hadn't I hold her in my arms? How long hadn't I seen her? How long were we separated? Of necessity.

I walked across the meadow toward the stairs of the terrace and hurried up the steps. She had followed me the whole time with her eyes and thus never let me out of sight.

When I arrived in front of her, I took her hand and stroked her cheek. She replied it and crossed her fingers with mine. I watched as her eyes searched my face as she looked at my wavy hair.

"Is this a dream?", she breathed, and I shook my head.

"No."

So she wrapped her arms around my neck and pressed her body against mine as she whispered: "Thank God."

I returned it - without question - and I was so happy. She sobbed and soon both of our sobbing mixed into one. And time passed so slowly that I was glad. A small wind blew up and was blowing our hair, but it didn't interested us. Our eyes closed, we enjoyed the proximity of the other.

I knew that Lauren was finally arrived home. Home, with her sister.

And soon our sobs died and I opened my eyes kissed her cheek and smiled at her as I wiped the tear tracks from her cheeks.

"I'm back home.", she whispered, wiping away mine.

"You are.", I nodded. "Finally."

"But I missed a lot.", she said wistfully, looking down on my baby belly. "How far are you?"

"Middle of the 31 week.", I stroked her hair.

"Ohh.", she smiled and looked at me quizzically before she gently placed her hands to it: "How do you feel?"

I took a deep breath and also looked down: "It was awake a little while ago and the other could share this moment."

Lauren nodded and smiled: "That's nice."

"Perhaps you have also have the pleasure."

"That would be really great.", she looked up. "But I asked, how you feel."

I frowned slightly: "I'm fine."

"You're fine, with what happens all to you?", she raised an eyebrow. "I know all of it, Lise."

"I can imagine that."

"So tell me.", she asked.

"I promised you at your bedside that I will be strong, Lauren. I told you that I won't back down. I never do.", I began quietly as she leaned her head against my chest and held my hands. "That that won't be easy, was clear. That it is so heavy, I couldn't imagine. But we're ready now."

"Yes.", she whispered.

"Then we can do the last part. Then I can rest, too. "

"I missed your heartbeat.", she replied. "It hasn't changed. Still strong."

"This also won't change.", I kissed her head, let go of her hands and wrapped my arms around her body. "You are doing well, too?"

"Yes, now again.", she nodded slightly and put her arms around my waist.
