Chapter 43: Lake time

Lisa P.O.V.

We had expected another letter from Klaus, but were surprised as none overtook us yet. However, we got another message. I could no longer visit Lauren, thanks to my father. But fortunately, my siblings kept me up to date, so I always knew when something was wrong. But it didn't help me getting over the fact that my father had forbidden me this too. I had Lauren promised I would always be with her, and now I also couldn't hold this promise.

I have now reached the 30th week and have more than ever difficulties to come out of the car on my own. I'll no longer reach the top cupboard in the kitchen and in general I can't do a lot of thing. Jo has forbidden me a lot of things, which made Harry to be more than ever around me. What's totally cute on the other side.

"Everything alright?", he stepped in the room looking at me worried.

"Yes.", I nodded and followed him with my eyes as he stepped next to me.

"What are you doing, beautiful? Jo said, you shouldn't stand so long. Want to sit down?", he kissed my head.

"No I'm fine, Harry.", I smiled slightly and looked down on the thing in my hands again.

"Is that the letter from your mom?", he asked slowly, which made me nod.

"You haven't read him?"

"No.", I shook my head taking a deep breath. "I'm not sure if I'm ready for reading him. On the one hand I want to know what she wrote me. But on the other hand I don't want to open healing wounds."

"I understand you.", he thought aloud. "How can I help you?"

"Maybe we should do something. Maybe drive to some lake around the town? What do you think?", I turned around facing him.

"Alone?", he smiled.

"Perhaps."

"Then I'd say we grab a few things and drive off, right?", he put his arms around me and looked at me quizzically.

"Sounds good to me.", I stood on tiptoe and put my lips to his.

                        After ten minutes we got all we need in a bag and left the house.

"Do you know, where we have to drive?", I furrowed my forehead, remembering that we didn't visit any lake before.

"Of course.", he started the car. "Just relax and let me lead you ... us?"

"Us – sounds great.", I took a deep breath closing my eyes, knowing that the letter from my mom was lying in the back of the car in our bag.

When we arrived at an unknown place, some time had passed, but that was okay. We drove away at midday and had plenty of time until we had to go again.

"We're here.", Harry stopped and parked the car and looked at me intently.

"Which way do we take?", I asked curiously.

"A little bit through the woods and behind it there comes the lake.", he opened his door.

I waited until he opened my door as well and let him helping me out of the car. Soon he got the bag and we made our way. It was a warm and sunny day, luckily. So I wasn't afraid that it will change.

As we arrived at the lake, it was such a beautiful scene. So we were a few minutes motionless and admired the view. As the sun reflected in the dark water and the surface brought sparkle. Birds twittered not so far in the trees and the wind made the trees and fir trees rustle a little. It was not cold. For a moment we forgot that behind the forest was the road and civilization. For a moment, we were cut off from the world. For a moment we admired that to. And we know, that the moment wasn't over, yet.
