Chapter 71: Crappy

Lisa P.O.V.

Even before we arrived at home, in Mystic Falls, I got through a woe again and phoned with Mom, Jo and Harry. Then we passed the village entrance sign and took a deep breath – inwardly. We had made the car drive without external complications.

Now we only had to drive through the streets of the city and arrive at our house.

"It's all prepared, right?", I looked at Bonnie. "Jo is sure?"

"In the hospital, we can't intervene as we can at home. In addition, we can protect a house better than a whole clinic. We're just two witches.", Bonnie said.

"Two strong witches.", the three from the back seat corrected.

My phone vibrated in my hand and I looked irritated at the display.

"Lauren?", I answered the call. "Is everything alright?"

"Mom is very excited and is whispering through the whole house. She mutters your name. What have we missed? – Mom, where are you going?", she added.

"Lauren.", I interjected. "I called her earlier. You were out ... away with our sisters."

"We were shopping in the city...a bit...for you. You didn't have any opportunities up there and gave Christina a few tasks.", she agreed.

"Do I have?", I frowned confused. "How did my tasks look like?"

"You gave her no one, but she saw it as her tasks and we jumped in. But back to the topic, why – Mom? Could you please tell me where you want to go?"

"She is on her way to ...me.", I told her calmly, sliding backwards in the seat.

"To you? To the house at the lake? "

"No.", I smiled tightly. "We are already in Mystic Falls on the way to Harry and my house."

"This is only a building site, what do you want there?", she wanted to know.

"Building site? It's only one room to be made.", I frowned. "I don't understand, oh ..."

"What?", I heard not only Lauren, but also Elena ask.

"Oh why? There is still ... Bonnie? ", I let go of my mobile phone, as Elena took the mobile phone from me and took instead Bonnie's hand, without thinking about it.

"No, Lauren listens to me. Lisa has woes since this morning. Run after your mom and tell her, that she has to drive to the Salvatore mansion, did you understand that? I have to call Stefan, call you later.", I heard Elena dare say as I leaned into the seat and squeezed my eyes shut.

"Can I take your phone to call-", Elena asked.

"Just do it.", I swallowed hard, trying to breathe evenly.

"Deep in and out, yes?", I felt Hayley's hand on my shoulder. "We're almost there."

"Mmm."

Somehow, almost at the same time when the woe stopped, Bonnie stopped the car as well and leaned over to me, rubbing my hair back and looking at me, "We're here. Did it help?"

"Some.", I pressed my lips together. "Is that normal?"

"Jo will be able to tell us in some minutes. Should I stay here in the car while they are unloading, or-"

I just nodded and closed my eyes again. I was so miserably tired that I could have slept on the spot, but the seat became so uncomfortable in the long run that I couldn't fall asleep again.
