Elena P.O.V.

The evening went just as beautiful on as hoped. The mood wasn't breakable and talk never went out. While Damon wasn't thrilled, since most were too young for alcohol; much to his regret.

"Oh Damon.", Lisa grinned as she stepped next to him. "Why are you so sad?", she already knew what his problem was.

"I'm not sad, Lisa. I'm bored.", he replied; smiling sweetly down at her.

"Oh no.", she pouted. "Then try and play with the boys that would certainly be pleased."

"And what? Hide? Football?"

"Perhaps.", she smiled. "Don't ruin it just because there isn't any alcohol! That's no reason, Damon, especially not for you."

"I know, Mommy.", he grinned crookedly. "But playing hide won't work. I hear their heartbeats. And football isn't good at all, I'm to strong."

"Then alternate it. They are kids.", she explained and sat down on one chair next to him. "They like baseball too."

"Baseball?", he raised an eyebrow.

"Yes, Damon.", she looked up at him.

"Aren't feeling well?", he hesitated.

Elena and also Caroline, Stefan, Rebekah and Bonnie looked up, alerted. Carefully Elena surveyed Lisa, noticing now her upcoming paleness.

"Lisa?", Caroline hesitated as well. "Should we call Jo?"

"No.", she shook her head. "I'm just a little tired."

"That doesn't look like tiredness.", Rebekah furrowed her forehead worriedly.

"I'm fine.", Lisa smiled slightly. "No need to worry. Maybe I just need a ...", she stood up again finishing with the word: "...coffee."

"Coffee?", Bonnie raised an eyebrow. "Seriously, Lise. If you're tired you should rest."

"It's such a beautiful day, I won't sleep now.", Lisa furrowed her forehead too. "Everything is fine, promise."

"But you doesn't look like that.", Elena stroked her own hair worriedly. "How about an compromise? You can have your coffee if you sit down after that and we call Jo?"

"Agreed!", Lisa was about to open her mouth, but Harry answered for her as he appeared next to her.

"Harry.", she looked up at him.

"I heard coffee? Shall I come with you?", he smiled gently at her. "Jo wanted to come over anyways, why shouldn't they call her? It's just for safety. "

"You want a coffee as well?", she replied after that; not fighting against it.

"I would love to."

After intertwined their hands, Harry nodded in Elena's direction and followed Lisa toward the house.

"Before I forget it.", Lisa's voice rose again. "Christina? I hope you have the baseball stuff with you today? Damon is always ready for a beautiful match. Right, Damon?"

"Baseball?", they heard the excited shouts from all around the garden.

"Damon?", Stefan raised an eyebrow surprised. "Baseball."

Lisa P.O.V.

In the kitchen I sat down on a chair and looked at Harry as he cooked the coffee for us.

"Maybe you should lie down a bit?", he mused. "Do you feel pain?"

"No.", I shook my head and stroked soothingly my stomach. "But maybe that will come."

"We don't want to provoke it.", he kissed my cheek. "But please, if something is, let me know, okay?"

"Of course.", I nodded. "But maybe I just need a little caffeine."

After he had finished cooking, he poured a cup for each one of us and handed it to me. I drank coffee in the normal case not so much, just lately I have neglected it. Therefore, the first taste was a bit weird, but it worked. After a few more sips of it, it was as always.

"Oh my ...", Harry looked out the window.

"What?"

"Is that Mike out there?", he wanted to know, making me standing up and looked out of it too.

"Yes, he is.", I recognized him. "What does he wants?"

"I'll find out.", he left the kitchen and walked toward the entrance door. "Don't follow."

Sighing, I took my cup back to me and emptied it. I tried not to listen to the conversation between Harry and Mike. I also didn't interfere, just like Harry wanted from me. But the words they fought ...

I finally got up from my seat at the table and placed the cup next to the sink, turned around and noticed the pull in my lower abdomen. Skillfully I ignored it and went out of the kitchen and through the open living room, where I stopped in the sight of the two. I looked at them in simply silent and then shook my head, before I made my way out.

"Lisa, wait!", I heard Mike calling after me, but I ignored it and pushed the garden door open breathing in the fresh air.

I saw them play. I saw their smile and their joy. And I felt sadness rising in me and felt as if I had lost something. Something very important.

"Is he talking for you now?", Mike stopped next to me, not noticing the match in front of us. "My sister would never let anyone speak for herself! My sister would speak for herself! She would face the fact."

"Does it have to be that way, Mike?", I followed with my eyes how the ball flew through the air.

"Yes, it has.", he explained. "Why does my siblings conceal to come here, huh? Was that your idea? Can you at least think what Dad would say about this if he ever finds out? You bring them to a complete mess."

"We have such a good day, Mike.", I shook my head. "They understand it."

"What did you told them?"

The pulling in my stomach slowly walked over to a stabbing pain, what made me to search support on the railing. I breathed evenly.

"Lise?", I felt Harry's hand on my back. "Want to have a seat?"

"No. Perhaps-", I looked down. "- is Jo on her way? Could you ask Elena?"

"I'll be back soon.", and he left us.

"What is going on?"

As I looked up to Mike; as I met his eyes the first time I saw no hate and anger not even disgust. This time I saw truly worry.

"Listen to me, today was the best day for a long time. The kids enjoyed it. Today we were as it should be. We have lived this day as it should be. As a family.", I smiled slightly. "So please ... don't destroy it."

"What's wrong, Lisa?", he asked again now kind of soft.

"I don't know.", I blinked.

"Watch out!", someone shouted out making us looking in their direction.

I saw the baseball flying on us with force. I didn't had the time to estimate, whom of us he would hit, or if he was flying through the gap between us. I reached out my hand and felt like he hit against my palm and I included him. The pain in my hand mingled with the one in my stomach and numbness spread.

As my legs gave in, I felt how arms wrapped around me. I knew there were voices shouting different words, but I only heard how the ball, which was in my hands, fall to the ground and hit it. Then everything went black.
