Lisa P.O.V.

During the Christmas holidays – on a sunny, but cold day – we decided to take a walk. I had gone to Harry a few hours before and after we initially didn't know what to do, we just went off.

It turned out to be the best idea. We had found a lovely forest path, on which we went along now. It was interesting that we found talking points repeatedly. But if there was a small break, it wasn't oppressive at all.

"Why didn't we do it previously?", Harry asked. "Taking a walk."

"I don't know. There wasn't an occasion, I think.", I thought aloud. "But it's a perfect day today."

He nodded smiling at me as he laid his arm around me while walking. "I can get used to it."

"Me too.", I whispered leaning my head against his body.

"Would you like to have a dinner with me?", he asked slowly.

"Is he asking me out for a date?" , I thought bewilderedly.

"I'd love to.", I explained after a few seconds.

"How about tonight?", he asked as I looked up at him.

"Sure.", I smiled. "But I have to change clothes before that."

"You look beautiful, there is no need for changing clothes.", he shook his head.

Today I had opted for black jeans and a blue blouse, matching dark blue boots and my hair was as always wavy.

The evening came quickly and we sat in a restaurant. Maybe we were both a little excited, after all, it was the first time that we went out together. But we sat there, a candle standing between us. We talked, ate and enjoyed the familiar togetherness. Both of us were hoping it wouldn't end soon.

I knew that I will never forget this evening. Our constant eye contact over the candles. How often our hands touched, his smile. I think at that time, I realized that I was about to fall in love with him.

"I'm already in love with him."

"Shall we go?", he raised an eyebrow after paying for our dinner.

I nodded, soon he helped me with my jacket and we left the restaurant.

"Do you want me to take you home?", he asked after a while of walking along the street.

I thought about it. Of course, I knew how late it was, but I don't want to go home. Not now. I shook my head looking up at him: "No."

He nodded and we made our way to his place.

Elena P.O.V.

"What is that?", Elena furrowed her forehead as Jeremy, her brother, knocked on her door showing her a letter.

"It's for you.", he told her as she took it from him. "Who is this from?"

She overflew the written letters and shook her head. "I've to go."

"Who is this from?", he asked again following her downstairs and out of the house.

"Get in the car, Jer.", she explained jumping on the driver seat. "Go!"

It was early morning as they stopped in front of the Salvatore mansion and hurried out of the car to the house. However, Damon was at the fireplace as they entered the house.

"Where's Stefan?", Elena asked immediately.

"In his room. What has stung you?", he frowned and put the glass down.

Elena gave him the letter and was in Stefan's room a short time later, woke him up gently.

"What happened?", Stefan furrowed his sleepy forehead.

"Klaus."

Just that one word made him awake in no seconds and he immediately stood beside her.

"What has he done?"

"Since I keep my promises, only you get this letter. The reason I just need the two is their fresh blood. I could take each other, but they are your friends and no one else is as close at the source as they are. Male and female. What exactly I need of them will show out soon. Thanks to my witches that I get it in no time.", Damon read the letter as he entered Stefan's bedroom. "I allow no opportunities to get once again in my way. Besides, you owe me something, doppelganger. Best wishes."

"That didn't sound good.", Jeremy hesitated. "What is he meaning?"

"Good question.", Stefan thought aloud.

"He can't be serious, right?", Elena shook her head angrily. "They have nothing to do with it. It's past!"

"We know that.", Stefan sat back on his bed. "But it seems that he wouldn't know."

"He is an idiot.", she pressed out. "Why can't he move. Why – is – he – still – here? "

"'Cause he didn't get what he want.", Damon breathed. "But I don't know what he shall think getting from them."

They were silent for a while, until they gave up thinking about it. They realized that they first had to digest Klaus' letter and clearly decipher before they could come to a decision.

"We drive to Harry.", Stefan nodded to Elena, who agreed.

"I tell Bonnie.", Jeremy offered.

"Then I phone with Caroline.", Damon smirked. "We ringing Barbie awake."

"Be nice to her!", Elena warned as she followed Stefan outside throwing Jeremy the car keys shouting out: "And you drive carefully, understand?"

"Yes, Mom.", he winked.

When they arrived at Harry's house, they went quickly to the door. They knew that it wasn't even sunrise, but they had to see if everything was okay with Harry. It would have come strange if they were ringing at Lisa's, then also twelve other people were – beside her – awake.

They activated the doorbell twice until a small lamp was concerned in the corridor and they heard shuffling steps before the door opened and a very sleepy Harry looked at them, blinking.

"What's going on? Do you actually know what time it is?", he murmured, stroking his hair.

"Two o'clock.", Stefan answered.

"Sorry, but we had to ring you awake.", Elena smiled apologetically.

"Well, not just me. Come in.", he turned and let them enter.

"Not only ... you?", but she already heard  a second heartbeat coming from the house. "Oh."

"Who is with you?", Stefan furrowed his forehead, but he could have drop the question, because the next moment they heard footsteps from above and saw the stairs up.

"Who was at the ... Elena? Stefan? Did something happen?", they saw an equally sleepy Lisa looking down to the three. "Oh if something happened, then-"

"No, no! It's all right.", Stefan interrupted her as she came down the stairs.

"We didn't know that you stayed here.", Elena mused. "Did you mention what?"

"No.", Lisa stifled a yawn as she arrived at them.

"We spent the day together yesterday. In the evening we were out for a dinner. Well, it was pretty late and she fell asleep on the couch." Harry, who was now awake, explained.

"That explains how I came in your bed.", Lisa nodded slightly.

"Really."

"That's the truth." Harry reiterated.

"I couldn't remember nothing else." Lisa agreed.

"You can wait in the kitchen or living room", Harry suggested and turning then to Lisa: "I'll give you more comfortable things to wear."

"Oh that would be great.", she sighed.
