Rebekah P.O.V.
She couldn't understand the behavior of her brother. Shouldn't he better take care of Lisa, so that nothing happens to her? No, instead he chased his hybrids on her. Rebekah knew how difficult the consequences can be if Lisa got upset. And Klaus should know it as well.
"You can go now.", she told him as she looked at him scathingly. "I don't want to see it again, understand me? And you Klaus-"
"Why are you, my dear sister, interfere?", he interrupted her and looked back to her.
"Because you didn't.", she shook her head. "Why are you doing this, Klaus? She is pregnant und you treat her like your hybrids. Give her an answer and don't let your hybrids do that to her."
"Don't tell me what I should do, Rebekah!", he stood up in no time, his hands were in fists.
"Then don't let that I have to do it anyway.", she threw at his head and turned to Lisa, who stood there undecided in the hallway.
Rebekah sighed worried and went over to her as Lisa met her gaze. Rebekah nodded lightly to her and pulled her gently to the table. Slowly she pulled the chair next to her own and meant Lisa to sit down.
"Where is Hayley?", Elijah asked when Klaus set down again.
"She won't come to breakfast.", Rebekah answered. "She was gone the night and is sleeping now."
Rebekah threw a side look to Lisa. She leaned against the backrest and took a deep breath while she's covering her baby belly lightly.
"Coffee?", she smiled at her.
"Yes please.", Lisa smiled back.
"Isn't coffee-", but Rebekah cut her brother off by asking Elijah: "What will you do today?"
Lisa P.O.V.
"I don't want to be here.", it was like a continuous loop.
These words repeated constantly in my head during the breakfast. I met sometimes Klaus gaze, but always looked away as it was nothing. But all I wanted was to go back in my room and rest. I was tired and these headaches weren't comfortable. Until I can't hold it back anymore.
"May I can go back to my rooms now? I'm really tired.", I gulped as I asked looking straight in Rebekah's eyes.
"Shall I bring you?", she wanted to know.
"No.", I smiled slightly and pushed the chair back. "I can do it on my own. But thank you."
"It's alright.", she nodded as I left the room, knowing that she will discuss with Klaus about what happened earlier.
I took my time on the way up. The little excitement from earlier cost its price. I already began to miss Harry. I wanted that he was here. I wanted to feel his arms around my body. Hear his voice. See him.
I felt the tears until they ran down my cheeks and stifled a sob when I closed the door behind me and sank on the big bed in my room. I don't want to be alone.
While I hugged the soft pillow against my chest, I fell asleep.
It distracted me no dream, that could have kidnapped me. When I woke up I felt somewhat rested. The sun was shining brightly in my room and hinted that the day had now dawned more than clear. Slowly I sat up looking down at my belly as I put away the pillow.
"You're feeling okay?", I stroked it softly. "I try my best, little one. I promise.", I whispered and looked through the room.
"May we look around a little bit?", I murmured and got slowly up.
After using the bathroom I looked at the room a little closer, before I dared to go outside the balcony. I had constantly the need to protect my baby even if it was still in my belly. I felt like it was in danger. I watched down to the garden. It was empty but beautiful and the height from the balcony down there was huge. Doesn't he was afraid that I would jump to bring all of it to an end?
"He knows that you wouldn't do it.", I thought. "I wouldn't just kill me."
After I had found my clothes from the previous day, I realized that my phone was gone. However, I found something else in my pocket.
"Mom's letter.", I whispered holding it in my hand.
"Well, I thought you want to read it."
I raised my head and turned around to see Rebekah standing there.
"How long have you been standing there?", I furrowed my forehead.
"Since now.", she smiled slightly. "Klaus is gone for today. He comes back late at night, so you're safe."
"What time it is?", I wanted to know.
"Half past ten. You didn't sleep as long as I hope.", she sighed stepping closer. "How do you feel?"
"I'm feeling fine.", I smiled slightly.
"Do you want to be on your own?", she hesitated. "To read the letter..."
"Oh.", I looked down on it. "It would be better."
"Just call me when something is wrong. I'll hear you.", with that – she left the room and closed the door in less than ten seconds.
Slowly I went to the sitting area over there and sat down with a sigh, leaned into the soft cushions. So I had it comfortable. I prepared on my mother's words inwardly and looked again down on it.
"No matter what it says, little one. We can do it.", I told my baby stroking my belly again as I felt a soft kick against my hand.
I smiled. "Is that a good sign, sweetie?"
It kicked further in there as I opened the letter.
"Okay, Mom ...", I began to read it.
