As it turned out, Lisa wasn't sure. She didn't want to disturb her eldest sister. She knew that Christina would act properly in her favor, in which she told her parents, but whether it would be in Lisa's sense was questionable. And if it did know one of them, it would also know the others soon.
However, it was noticeable in the long run, because every time Lisa came pale to school, their remaining three siblings were set on red alert. But Lisa remained silent, not telling a word.
"No, stop it!", Lauren shook one morning her head after they arrived and standing to their car. "Stop lying at me!"
Elena, Bonnie and Caroline were further away, at Caroline's car and looked over at the four siblings. They weren't noticed until now. As Elena had called with Stefan, she knew that he was on his way to school also. Jeremy and Tyler were at the gym, where they also had to go soon.
"Lauren, please-", Lisa started as they turned their heads in their direction.
"No, not Lauren, please! ", she answered holding her back. "What's wrong with you?"
She looked at Lauren awhile in silence then taking a deep breath: "I can't tell you even if I would love telling you, but I - just can't."
"That doesn't help at all.", Alex shook his head while real worry came in his eyes.
"Do Mom and Dad know?", Amy hesitated.
"No!", Lisa said with a resolute voice.
"If it is necessary to know it, you should say it.", Lauren said as she'd guessed it until giving her big sister a kiss on her cheek and left with the words: "Think about it."
"Is it that bad?", Amy raised an eyebrow.
"No, but if I say it... It would change everything.", Lisa pressed her lips together.
"We need to go.", Alex breathed. "Be careful."
"When am I not?", she smiled softly. "Have a nice day."
"You, too.", Amy squeezed her sisters hand, before leaving with her younger brother.
After Lisa had watched them for a while, she opened the driver's door and leaned back into the car.
"She want to tell them.", Elena nodded.
"But she can't.", Bonnie whispered.
"Look at that.", Caroline grimaced in emerging anger nodding at a boy.
Just when Lisa closed the door of the car, hung the bag loosely over her shoulder and wanted to close the car, someone jostled her with intent.
"Watch out, where you're going.", Riley grinned maliciously as Lisa bent down over the car keys and replied: "As you can see, I was standing here, you genius."
"Well, now you're on the ground. But okay, can occur once.", he said over his shoulder.
"Because you aren't a gentleman - no wait - I forgot. You have something with your eyes.", she looked straight at him. "But okay, can occur once."
"In your position-" he stopped walking and looked at her threateningly.
"Better watch out, we are among people, Riley. And not alone in the corridor, but we push that on your visual defects. Guys.", she nodded, past them and headed for the school building.
"Corridor? Alone?", Bonnie furrowed her forehead. "What did she means?"
"Gosh. Riley told as one day, that he met her alone in the corridor, remember? She doesn't left a word from it. May we ask her?"
"Ask who - what?", Stefan appeared in the next moment kissing Elena's cheek.
They told him what was happen some minutes ago and as Harry arrived, too.
"We should may go and talk to her.", Harry nodded worriedly.
They went to the gym meeting Lisa inside the hall in her normal clothes, because she mustn't overexert herself. An Order of her doctor.
Elena P.O.V.
Just as they wanted to call out for her, the sport teacher appeared and looked into Lisa's direction: "Can we talk briefly, Lisa?"
Lisa looked confused up: "Sure.", setting her jacket aside, she followed her.
"She can't wait much longer.", Harry smiled slightly. "She's in tenth week, soon eleventh."
Elena looked from Lisa's face, who stand now sideways to them, down to her belly, which was covered by a striped sweater. Outsiders would probably think she would put some weight on, but they knew that the slightly arching - slowly but surely - announced her baby bump.
After changing in sports stuff, they entered the gym. Elena smiled softly as Harry kissed Lisa's cheek whispering: "Hi beautiful."
"Hi.", she greeted us with a hug.
"Hey.", Elena smiled. "We need to talk afterwards okay?"
"What have I done wrong, that everyone wants to talk to me?", she sighed confused.
"You haven't done anything.", Stefan shook his head.
"What did she want from you?", Harry frowned as he sat on the bench beside her.
"You ...", she began. "Well, she wanted to know how long I can't go along and I said I wouldn't know, because I would have to talk to my doctor."
"But they don't know the reason.", Bonnie clarified, but Lisa shook her head and the lesson began.
She wouldn't have guessed that the end of this lesson, would bring so much confusion. It all started quite well actually. Lisa was sitting as usual on the bench watched them as they played volleyball or accomplished exercises.
However, they didn't notice how she disappeared from the hall.
Elena was thinking and listening to the heartbeat of the baby, it was a reflex. Mostly to check if everything was okay. But she noticed how quiet it sounded and soon realized that Lisa was not in the hall."Where's Lisa?", she turned away from the empty bench and watched Harry.
"There at the ...", but he noticed also that she missed. "I have no idea."
"Oh my God.", it was hard to hear, but since the vampires had made almost simultaneously in this hall to focus, they all got the unmistakable gasp.
