Lisa P.O.V.

When I woke up, it was dark. Pitch-dark.

But I was already back in my bed and had been covered carefully with a blanked. Rebekah or Hayley?

Uncertain I covered my baby belly with one hand and took a deep breath. I noticed no movement and no pain. That was good.

Slowly and carefully, I leaned my elbows against the mattress and lifted my torso. But it was so quiet here, otherwise I heard footsteps in the hallway or someone in the lower rooms doing something. But I heard nothing. Perhaps it was because I was just on the top floor and most likely everything was asleep. Do hybrids sleep? I haven't employed much with them, only shunned.

Finally I get up with some effort and turned on the bedside lamp. The heavy curtains were drawn. But I would had seen at its edges, when the sun would have shine.

"If I had at least a clock here.", I thought wistfully, because I felt timeless.

And the quiet and the timeless caused me anxiety and worry. I went first to the door, grabbed the doorknob and opened it slowly. Even the hallway was dark. It was scary. Because the hall itself was long and revealed to each side a few doors, the staircase was at the end of it. But I don't wanted to turn on a light.

"Something is wrong here.", it rushed through my head.

I closed the door and leaned against it. Should I go down there? Or should I instead lock the door and stay here?

I covered my stomach with my hands and looked down. I look first after Hayley and Rebekah's room, I decided, nodding. Maybe I find them there. If I find the them everything is alright. If not, I don't know.

"Keep yourself calm, Lisa.", I opened the door again. "If not for you then for the baby."

I quietly walked down the hall, slipped down the stairs and went on until I arrived at Hayley's door. I knocked softly, but received no answer.

"It could be that she is might still asleep, Lisa.", it went through my head.

But as I looked in, I quickly noticed that the equally large bed was empty. Without further ado, I hurried on to Rebekah. But there awaited me not otherwise.
The oddities was only that both beds were or have already been made.

Okay.

There I stood. In a dark corridor, unsure what to do. But there were only two options left.

Either I go back up to my room.

Or I go one floor down.

Fairly quickly I chose the second option and went my way, the second staircase down, on.

You could see how you wanted it. I could have been relieved that I perceived voices, but was it so good that I heard them? I wasn't sure.

But it was pretty quick to take out, that they aren't talking, but yelling. But why? And who was there? Through this thick, heavy doors you couldn't hear everything. It rumbled and it sounded as if things were tossed and were broken.

"If I were you I wouldn't go out there."

I turned around facing some of Klaus' hybrids.

"Gladly you're not me.", I replied while hiding my uncertainty. "What are they doing in there?"

"I don't know.", he smiled politely.

"You know, that I have people skills...", I started. "...and I know exactly when someone is lying to me."
