Slowly I went up this corridor. My heart beat faster and I wondered if it was so good for the baby. My gaze wandered around as two men stepped in my way.

"We will accompany you in the dining room.", the larger of the two said.

"It would also be enough to tell me where I have to go.", I confessed.

"We will go with you.", he stepped to my side, grabbed my arm and pulled me with him.

"You're hurting me!", I tried to remove his hand in vain. "Could that be less rough?"

"These two men don't know exactly how to deal with a lady.", a voice made them after countless steps and two staircases stop.

"Elijah.", the smaller one nodded. "We have the task to bring her to the dinner room."

"Right. To bring. But that doesn't mean to torment her on the way. I take over. Let her go and move."

It occurred to me that he spoke calmly and looked cool at the men. But he wasn't violent or threatening them. Slowly he let go of me and they left.

"Thank you.", I looked at him and rubbed the sore spot on my arm.

"It's alright.", he nodded. "I'm Elijah, Klaus older brother."

"I know."

"Rebekah told you who I am?", he raised an eyebrow.

"She did."

"What else?"

"Nothing.", I shook my head.

"Follow me then.", he turned his back on me. "I see you aren't wearing the clothes, he has picked out for you."

"No.", I said curtly. "I can decide what I want to wear and what not on my own."

As he opened the door, I frowned. I wasn't ready to face him. But the dinner room caught my breath. He was so spacious and luxurious, I wondered where I had landed here and...

"Like what you see?", a voice brought me back.

I looked over to the table and met Klaus' gaze. But as he realized that I wasn't wearing what he had supposed me to wear, he stood up.

"Why-", but I cut him off.

"I need no one, who picked out clothes for me.", I said calmly. "I still have the ability and perseverance to create my own outfits. And to decide if I want to wear it or not."

"Listen-", but I didn't let him the chance to speak, because he didn't let me the chance to decide if I would want to go with him or not.

"And I'd prefer to not send me any lap pooch, who are so palpable that I can show a blue spot as evidence.", I raised an eyebrow and went on: "Why am I here anyways?"

"Perhaps you should sit down first.", Elijah hesitated and looked from me to Klaus. "And calm down."

"Calm down?", I repeated. "I was at some nice lake with my boyfriend. It was lovely being there with him, we had a good half day, but then-"

"You want to know why you are here?", Klaus cut me off this time.

"Yes, because I don't understand, why I-"

I was interrupted when he loudly straightened a chair and turned away from me to sit down. I watched him in disbelief and crossed my arms over my chest.

After it, he looked at me expectantly while leaning against the backrest.

"Continue.", he made a gesture with his hand.

"I beg your pardon?", I raised an eyebrow still unbelieving. "What do you mean with 'continue' ? Do I have misheard? I want an answer! And don't want to continue this! What am I doing here, Klaus?"

But he didn't answer me. I shook my head and turned to the door behind me. Decided I was moving in its direction and wanted to leave the room. I wasn't in the mood to speak with a reluctant man, I had no strength currently therefore.

"Get out of my way.", I looked up at the man who had grabbed me roughly by the arm earlier.

I had made it to the hall, although only some meters were made when he came in my way.

"Unfortunately not.", he stepped too close to me and wanted to grab me again.

But this time I didn't let him, no. When he just wanted to grab, I kicked him with full force on the foot and slapped him with my elbow right in his face.

"Don't even think about it!", said a voice from inside the room.

While I was still angry glaring at him and was preparing myself for a second slap, he saw back to this voice. Which I had already identified. My hands had clenched, but loosened when he took a step back and just nodded.

"You do realize that this isn't good for her, or, dear brother?", Rebekah asked when this man saw back to me.

"Interesting.", I heard Klaus saying. "She should better be afraid."

"Better not.", I thought.
