Alright, check it, we're gonna go all Greek mythology in this one, despite the fact that I barely remember anything about it and from what I've read from Rick Riordan's books (that man is a genius).
Let's get to it, homies.
(I probably shouldn't say that, I feel like my dad when I do that. Don't be a dad, especially when you're a 15 going on 16 year old girl.)
---
Okay, so the main character is a girl this time. Sixteen, dark hair, blue eyes, kinda likes to keep to herself, intelligent. You get the drill. This girl's name is....uhhhhmmmmm...Marina...! Yeh.
Marina is, like every main character in every teen fiction ever, an average girl living her life with only her single mother to take care of her. Just her mother. But over the course of her life, Marina has experienced weird things, such as:
•The girl that bullied her when she was in second grade coincidentally falling into a water fountain at a field trip after she picked on Marina.
•Fish always seem to follow her around when at aquariums and sting rays never seem to let other people have their turn at petting them because they're too busy flapping their little flippers at her.
•That one time the water at the water park got a little wild right at the same time that Marina freaked out over some creepy guy trying to get near her.
You get what I'm playing at here?
Yes, the once normal Marina is actually the demigod of the God of the Sea, Poseidon. And, she's about to discover that about herself, along with the weird creatures and people that come from Greek mythology. BUT she's not the only demigod at her school.
There's a guy named Johnny: black hair, dark eyes. Personality: rough edged, mostly quiet, gets into fights, doesn't tag along with a certain crowd and even the teachers are scared shitless when he flashes a simple glare. He has a pretty bad rep. Neither him nor Marina should have any reason to be affiliated with each other. Not only because, as regular teenagers, they don't mix: she's the sweet and gentle bookworm girl, he's the scary as all hell delinquent guy who can put a dent into a locker with one punch. As demigods, it's kind of worse, considering that Marina is the daughter of Poseidon and Johnny is the son of Ares, God of War. His character makes more sense now, doesn't it? They definitely couldn't mix, right?
Well, let's say, one day, Marina is on her way home. She's minding her own business and everything, when she gets the strange feeling of being watched. Marina freaks out and starts taking different paths to get home, hoping to shake off the feeling and possibly thwart whoever was following her. Unfortunately for her, this was not a normal person who could easily be deceived by Marina's dodging and ducking past people and street corners. Eventually, Marina finds herself alone and out of places to run, and encounters her pursuer.
It looks like a lady, but is anything but one. This strange and creepy woman happens to be a Fury, the winged women who seek out the mortals who have committed wrongdoings and punish the damned in the Underworld. No, it's not some wrinkly weird creature, it is an actual woman...until she brings out a whip or some other weapon and jumps for your ass. In this case, she did just that and attempted to attack Marina (keep in mind that Marina is a gentle soul and would never do anything to hurt anyone so it's pretty BS that the Fury is there). Marina doesn't know how to defend herself against something like this and she panics.
And suddenly coming to her rescue is Johnny, wielding this glowing, bright red spear in one hand while holding a similar glowing shield in the other. He fights the Fury and saves Marina from a horrible death. Unlike Marina, Johnny actually knows what he is and knows how to fight being what he is. The Fury gets beaten around for a while but sure enough she ends up smacking one of her wings into Johnny and he's sent flying up against a wall. He's injured now and his weapons disappear. He's on the ground, tired, and Marina rushes to him in hopes of protecting him somehow. The Fury is closing in, ready to kill both of them, but, due to Marina's panic, the water pipelines under the area that they're in burst out of the ground, shooting water at the Fury at dangerously high speeds. The Fury is ultimately sent flying off somewhere and it's just Johnny and Marina. She makes sure he's okay, and like the "badass" he is, he just brushes her concern off.

Just Me
RandomThis isn't a story. This is a little digital book about me, EternalLaughter. Not a biography, though. It's just stuff. About me. And what I like, what I dislike, what I've experienced, what I wish for in the future, all of my passions and dreams, my...
