Napaangat ako ng tingin sa pinto. Si Lory. Bakit si Lory ang nagbukas sakin ng pinto?
“What are you doing here?” dumiretso ako sa kusina.

Hindi ako agad nakapag salita. Bumuntong hininga ako.
“But you know that I have a girlfriend.”
“So?” maarte nyang tanong.
Dati natutuwa ako sa kanya pag nagmamaldita sya. I find it cute. But now. It’s very annoying.
“I can’t marry you.” Malamig kong sabi.
Lumapit sya sakin. Sumandal ako sa ref.
“Girlfriend mo pa lang sya. Di mo pa sya asawa. Kaya pwede mo kong pakasalan.”
“Yeah. You’re right. Girlfriend ko pa lang sya. But soon, she’ll be my wife. Because I love her. That’s why she’s the one I’m gonna marry.”
She smirks. “Well sad to say, you can’t. Because our parents made an agreement. I’ll marry you. You’ll marry me. And your company will be safe.”
