{Gerard isn't the only one with a P.O.V btw, but this is still his point of view}
We got back home and Lyn-z started to settle Bee down for a nap. Lyn-z also said I could have people over to help with the flat pack and decorating the room. The first one who came to mind was dad. Of course dad, he knew how to do all that stuff like DIY and assembling things and baby proofing; twice.
Wait baby proofing.
We had a two year old who was now walking who could go anywhere, do anything. We hadn't sorted anything. Thinking of it, dad told me to do it before Bee started to crawl. F*ck! I'm just glad she's never gotten herself hurt.
I decided to call dad straight away. I dialed and it began to ring before he picked up.
"Son, hey. How's my boy and his flock doing?"
I don't know why he called them my 'flock'. Do I have sheep now? I mean I only see people not sheep. I just rolled my eyes and continued the conversation we were having.
"Hey dad, I'm good thanks, Lyn-z is doing great and Bee is still my little pumpkin, star, marshmallow, adorableness! How about yourself and mom?"
"We're both fine thanks. Have you spoken to Mikey recently?"
"Actually I was going to call him after I finished on the phone with you, so. . . Yeah! Why what's up?"
"Nothing really, just wanted to see how my boys were doing. Anyway, why'd you call?"
"Basically were giving Bandit her own bedroom so she has her own space to play and stuff like that rather then sleep with us in our room. So, today we went shopping and bought a load of stuff, one problem though."
"Let me guess, it's all in flat pack isn't it son!"
"Help me!"
Dad chuckled at my lack of DIY skills, any issue that didn't involve ordinary common sence I'd pick up the phone to him and get him to help out. Also by 'help' I really meant that I will take everything out of the box then go and get a six-pack of beers and a cooler. He knew that.
"I can come by, errr, try tomorrow. Does that work for you?"
"Dad, I'm in a band of which is not touring or working on anything huge at the moment, I'm always free. As for Lyn-z, she is only doing gigs that are fairly local which are usually festivals or small city gigs on a Friday night."
He chuckled at that too.
"So I'd take that as a yes for tomorrow then?"
"Sure! Why don't you bring mom down too. You know, me and 'my flock' then you with mom and Mikey with Alicia. Beers and a BBQ!"
"Sounds wonderful Gerard, Thank you."
"Okay dad, nice. I've got to go, see you tomorrow."
"See you then." He replied then hung up.
Why did he wonder about Mikey? The two of them are always on the phone to each other, talking about everything. Had something happened?
I texted mikey once I got off the phone to my dad.
