>>that afternoon<<
{Still Mikey's P.O.V}

"Hi, erm I'm here for shotg- Bandit" I corrected myself to a different woman who stood by the door of the building I took Bandit to this morning. She looked puzzled and confused so I added, "I'm her uncle, I've been looking after her while her mom is in the hospital."

Her confused state turned into a sympathetic, weak smile and she called for Bandit to come over. I leaned in through the door past the woman to see her running excitedly over with an ear-to-ear beam on her face with her fist around Harry the giraffes neck.

"UNCLE MIKEEYY!" she squealed.

"Hey kiddo!" I crouched down to the floor on my knees, arms open wide.

She ran over and crashed into my torso wrapping her little arms around my sides. I felt Harry pressed tight against my hip as she hugged me and I wrapped my two arms around her back and gave her a tight hug before kissing her head and pulling away taking her hand. We began making our way down the path hand in hand. Bee was skipping to keep up with my pace as I tried to slow down but it didn't work.

We were heading down the street to the only place I found to park.

"IT'S MIKEY F*CKING WAY!!!"

Oh sh*t!

I looked down quickly to Bandit, a look of panic spread over her face.

"Bandit, it's going to be okay - promise! Don't let go of my hand okay, you need to keep close." I said worried for the little time had before a mob of screaming teenagers came my way.

"Okay." Her sweet voice trembled as she brought the giraffe to her chest and hid behind my leg still taking a tight grip to my hand.

At that moment, the mob of teenagers ran around the corner of the street and right to us. I heard Bandit whimper, but there was nothing I could do. If I could keep her hidden behind me from the fans, it'll be okay.

At least that's what I figured.

"OH MY GOD, MIKEY WAY" one yelled.

"WHERES THE OTHERS?"

"WHAT'S GOING ON WITH LYN-Z?"

"WILL LYN-Z DIE?"

I wanted to throw a punch at that kid.

"I CANT BELIEVE WHAT YOU DID TO ALICIA!"

"WHO DID YOU SLEEP WITH?"

This was getting personal and it really wasn't appropriate, or even their business.

There were a few sweet ones, who just asked for a hug or a picture then left but the others were really getting on my nerves.

"Hi, Mikey, erm- would it be okay for - for a - hug?" She looked about 14, she was so sweet.

"Of course." I smiled back.

Then I made a huge mistake.

I loosened my grip from Bandits hand and looked down at her over my shoulder as I did so. She hugged my leg, wrapping her little hands around still clutching onto Harry.

I hugged the girl for a few seconds then pulled away. I tried to give my hand back down to Bandit to hold again but, I don't know, maybe she didn't see.

"IS THAT BANDIT?"

"OH MY GOSH, IT'S BANDIT!"

"ITS GERARD'S DAUGHTER!"

Huge Mistake! Should've just given that girl a side hug.

Bandits grip was tightening, she was getting pretty scared, I could tell. Sh*t, I had to do something.

The kids were getting pretty close and as I tried to back away, Bandit was too but they had us cornered up against a wall and we couldn't back up anymore.

"KIDS, GO HOME! NO MORE HUGS OR PHOTOS OR ANYTHING TODAY, YOUVE RUINED IT, YOUVE RUINED IT, GET OUTTA HERE! GO HOME!' I roared, I couldn't think of anything else to do.

I saw a group of the sweeter kids rush back over after I'd hugged them. They made their way over to the crowd and started to push people back, just enough for their to be a little gap, - an escape route.

Bandit momentarily let go of my leg so I spun round and picked her up.

"I'm gonna get us both out of here okay Bee?!" I announced lifting her up to my front. She wrapped her legs around my hips and wrapped her arms around me too. I held onto her tightly and ran through the gap those kids had made.

Kids were chasing us. It was f*cking scary!

Eventually, we lost them but we were about a mile away from the car. So I kept going until we found a little diner to eat at.

There was no time to go to the park now, just to eat and see her parents then she'd have to go to bed. I felt so bad for breaking my promise to her.
