Ch.21

I get up from the couch and walk over to the door. I look through the peephole and gasp.

"No fucking way",I say.

"What was that?",Liam ask still sitting on the couch.

"It's umm my cousin I told him to bring me my charger I'll be right back",I say my voice shaking a bit.

"Oh ok",he says and turns back to the television.

My hand shakes as I open the door. I quickly step outside and and shut the door behind me.

"What are you doing here?",I say grabbing Niko's arm and pulling him away from the door.

I walk him to the door labeled "Stairs" and push him inside.

"How dare you come here?",I say glaring at him.

"I had to. I had to see you and talk to you.",he says his eyes roaming around the room.

"No this isn't the place and frankly I really don't want to hear it.",I say crossing my arms over my chest.

I still couldn't believe he was here.

Standing right in front of me with his bright green eyes and messy brown hair.

Stop staring at him idiot.

"Look Kat I know you don't want to see me but you have to let me explain please",he reaches out his hand but I step back.

"I don't know if I can",I say staring at the floor.

"I understand but just say that you will think about it atleast",he says.

I stay quiet for a few moments but eventually nod.

"Thank you call me when you're ready", he says softly. I nod again and he stands there a few more seconds before walking out.

I lean against the wall sighing.

What was I going to do?

After a couple of minutes I finally walk out and go back to the apartment.

Liam isn't on the couch anymore and so I hurry to the room and grab my charger. I plug my phone in near the couch so Liam will see it.

I don't need him getting suspicious or anything. My mind trails back to Niko.

Do I really want to know what happened? What if he lies? I'm still lost in my thoughts when Liam comes back into the room.

"You got your charger?", he asks plopping down on the couch next to me.

"Huh um yea my phone was so close to dying but it's good now",I say.

He nods staring back at the television.

My phone rings and I reach for it smiling when I see that it's James.

"Hey baby",I say into the phone.
Liam chuckles beside me.

"Hey Kat what are you doing?",he asks. I notice he sounds tired.

"Hanging out with your brother. How 'bout you? You sound tired babe",I say.

"Oh he actually went...and yea babe I'm fine", he says.

"Really cause you sound really tired when are you coming home?",I ask playing with the hem of my shirt.

"I'll be there in a few hours tell...."Yea I'll be right there".....I'm sorry babe gotta go Love you",before I can reply he hangs up.

I stare at my phone confused.
