i hate that i promised you guys and update and it took me 87 years to get back to you.

I'll give you a quick explanation but if you dont care keep scrolling.

Im in high school now and that shit is stressful asf.

That sums it up and also that i have no inspiration to write.

No this wont be considered an update day its just i felt bad and decided to update.

I think Saturday for sure will become one of the update days.

Anyways i met this guy.
And he's all i want and all ill never get.

If interested ill tell you the quick story about in a couple of chapters later.

I wake up alone. I shiver as the cold air hits my bare legs.

I pull the covers higher until they reach my chin. I grab my phone from the nightstand and see I have a couple of unread messages.

I unlock my phone and click on the first message that pops up which is from James.

Sorry I wasn't there to kiss you but I got called into work. If you want to hang out at Angies for awhile its fine I know she misses you. Don't be gone too long.

I groan I really want to spend some time with Carly but I want to spend time with my family too.

I hit send and ignore the other messages when my stomach rumbles.

I through off the covers shivering again at the cold.

Did someone blast the AC?

I grab some clean clothes from the drawers. One of James' shirts and a pair of green shorts.

I hope Angie hasn't moved any of my things from the bathroom.

I walk to the bathroom thankful that its empty. And hop in the shower. I take my time washing my body as memories from last night flash in my mind making the stupid smile return.

I just can't believe how my life had made a complete turn in such a short period of time.

I finally finish and dry off with the towel. I throw on the clean clothes and throw the dirty ones in the hamper. I brush my teeth and comb my wet hair.

I walk out of the bathroom still smiling and smack right into Anne.

"Oh sweetheart I'm so sorry",she says grabbing my arm to steady me.

"Oh it's fine",I say regaining my balance. She drops her hand from my arm and smiles gently.

"I thought you had left with tour boyfriend",she says still smiling.

I don't know but it all feels akward. I can feel my cheeks heat up under her intense gaze and megawatt smile.

"Oh no I thought about hanging out for awhile",I say.

She nods excitedly like I just told her some great news.

"Perfect we totally have to plan something",she says.

I nod slowly. Plan what?

"Oh I'll explain later",she says and actually squeals.

"Well um yeah I'm I'll leave you to it",I say stepping around. I can't get out of that hallway quick enough.

Unfortunately I don't.

"Hey tell Niko I'm waiting for him",she says before gently pushing the door so it's only slightly open.

I wait for the sting in my chest or the urge to gag. But none of that happens.

I give myself a mental pat on the back and walk to the kitchen.

Of course Niko is there flipping pancakes like a fucking expert.

"Well howdy stranger",he says a smile lighting up his perfect face.

"Howdy",I say back just as cheery. I thank James for putting me in such a good mood.

"Well someone woke up extra happy",he says eyes shinging.

"Thanks to a wonderful night and a beautiful text this morning",I say blushing.

His smiles slips a bit but I ignore it.

"Oh um Anne is waiting for you",I say grabbing two pancakes and putting them on a plate.

"Oh yeah thanks",he turns off the stove top and hurries out of the kitchen.

I go and sit at the dining table and eat my pancakes.

About thirty minutes later, after I ate my pancakes and washed the dishes Niko and Anne walked into the living room where I was watching tv.

Both of them had their mouths set in a thin line except Anne's was a little droopy.

I didn't dwell on it too much I didn't want to unbury the feelings of jealousy. Niko plopped down on the couch next to me sending water droplets flying from his hair.

His arm rested on the couch right above my shoulders. I flinched as his fingers wove into the back of my hair.

He sighed but did not remove his hand.

At some point during this Anne had left the room. A few minutes later she came back carrying a diaper bag.

"I'll see you later babe I'm going to hang out with Angie and the baby",she says not even bothering turning around just walking right through the door.

The silence that followed was probably the most uncomfortable silence ever.
