Plot: A series of small parts about characters from Dmitriy's books or (graphic novels) coming to life as he writes them. He has to figure out how to put them back into the book and try to keep his strange power a secret.

Name: Dmitry Gilmore

Very interesting name! Sounds like a name a person would have, which is a great aspect.

Age: 28

Characters that are not the early 20s and late teens are pretty rare and it's nice to find more of them.

Gender: male

Description: Has dark skin, brown eyes, is short, and has prosthetic foot. He has cornrows and is Sudanese.

I can easily image him, and great use of representation. There isn't a lot of diversity when it comes to characters, so to find one that has a physical disability and is of a racial minority is really great.

Personality: He doesn't talk a lot around strangers, but when he's with his friends he can be very loud. He is mild mannered and doesn't approve of swearing

I relate to not talking around strangers but not being able to hold back when with friends. It's nice to see someone have "doesn't approve of swearing" as his personality and not putting it as a one of his dislike.

Likes: Rain, warm weather, graphic novels, and learning about other cultures.

Dislikes: Swears, mean people, horror movies and books, and crowded places.

Both are realistic and I really enjoy how they fit with the plot.

Strengths: Bilingual (English, Chinese, Spanish); writing mystery, fantasy, and action stories; perceptive of physical things around him

He would technically be trilingual but that's a very small mistake. They work well for him and his role!!

Weakness: chronic pains; his shyness towards strangers comes off as rudeness; not perceptive of emotion

Backstory: He was an only child. He grew up in Rhode Island with his two loving parents. Dimity's father was a Lost Boy from the Sudan civil war. His father was a carpenter and his mom was a massage therapist. When he was 25 he lost his left foot in a car crash.When he went to the hospital he met a nurse, Gao. They became friends and eventually Gao asked Dmitry out. Dimity now lives with his boyfriend, Gao, in Columbia, where he is a writer and Gao works as a nurse in a local hospital.

THE REPRESENTATION YOU WORKED INTO HIM AND HIS FAMILY IS SO RICH. His backstory weaves nicely with the plot and I'd be super excited to read about him!

Overall, he'S GREAT. There wasn't anything Sueish about him and he'd be great as a main character in a story. All I could say would be praising him, which he honestly deserves. He's a diverse character that's written nicely, and I love it.
