Fandom: Harry Potter Next Generation

I'm surprised we haven't got a next generation yet.

Name: Kaya Morgan

Kaya's name comes from several different things. In Turkey, it's a traditional guy's name that means "rock." She's a Very strong character after her father dies to help her mother out and to help her siblings. It also means very wise as she is one that her friends come to for advice.

So is she Turkish? Because Morgan isn't a Turkish last name. Also, Kaya means "marijuana" in Jamaican slang and is also short for some Hopi name. I just though that was interesting.

Gender: Female

Age: In the prologue, she is 15 about to turn 16, but she is 16 in the book.

Personality: She's a very friendly person who loves to help others. She has never understood why the Sorting Hat put her in Gryffindor as she considers herself a cautious and not brave person. She wanted to be put in Ravenclaw like her mother, but instead was put in Gryffindor like her father. She is very strong willed. She deeply loves her two siblings but as their personalities contrast with Hers, it often results in arguments. She is very studious, but unlike her mother, it doesn't come naturally to her. She is a clever girl, but she doesn't do well in her classes unless she puts in lots of effort. After her father dies, she is very hesitant about dating and loving because she doesn't want them to leave her. She isn't athletically gifted whatsoever and truly does not understand the game of Quidditch. She's patient and listens very well to others problems. However, it is like all of her patience depletes around James Sirius Potter. She's  a goody two shoes and has never had detention in her life. As prefect, she wants to stop's her friends' childish pranks, but she doesn't because she finds some of them quite funny, even though she wouldn't admit it.

In the past, I have said ocs being inserted into the lives of canon characters is Mary Sueish depending on how they affect them. It's also a risky thing to do. I'm not so sure about her relationship with James. Her personality is pretty good though. I especially like how the hat put her in Gryffindor but she doesn't get why.

Description: Blonde curly hair  sometimes frizzy; blue eyes; girly sense of style, but modest at the same time- Cardigans, skinny jeans, dresses often in floral prints, doesn't have a real sense of style, but she does enjoy shopping with friends; small amount of freckles; she's on the shorter side; and is average weight for a 16 year old.

Likes: Reading; cleaning; studying; as much as she hates to admit it, the pranks pulled by James, Fred, Mason, Karly, and Dominique; sweets; Mrs. Weasley's home cooked meals; staying with friends over the holidays

Yeah, she's friends with them, isn't she?

Dislikes: James Sirius Potter; getting in trouble; Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans; dancing; being the center of attention

Strengths: She's clever and takes it upon her self to learn new things; She always tried to see the good it people

Weaknesses: She doesn't act on impulse, making her slow in possibly dangerous situations; school doesn't come naturally to her; After her father died, she didn't trust easily and acted even more cautious; she often comes across as bossy and demanding;

Good weaknesses.

Powers: Powers of a regular witch. She is in the process of learning wordless and wand less magic. 

Pretty sure that doesn't exist? At least it didn't in the books.

What? Unyielding flexibly? Can wands have powers like that? I guess it could, but I've never heard about one.

Overall, the was a fairly average oc. She had a good personality, but wasn't all that interesting. She was from a different Harry Potter era however, while most other Harry Potter ocs are from when Harry went to Hogwarts. She had some personality and physical traits that reminded me of Hermione, but not enough to be too noticeable. Her personality was probably the best done.
