As Connie sat in the small waiting area, she sighed rolling her eyes as she leant back into the chair. Jacob was late, she could cope with that. What she couldn't cope with was the constant worry that something was wrong, she'd be told that her baby wasn't okay. It didn't matter how many times she went through this, the panic would never ease.

"Mrs Masters? Ah, Connie I thought it was you... How are you?" "It's nice to see a familiar face." Connie smiled gratefully to Duffy as she wandered over to her and into the room. "No Jacob?" "Running late." Duffy smiled before catching a glimpse of Jacob through the corridor windows. "Looks like he made it just in time."

Connie sighed with relief as she sat down on the bed, Jacob rushing into the room. "Con I'm so, so sorry-" "Jacob it's okay, you didn't miss anything." He shook his head closing the door before taking her hand. "Not the point, I promised I'd always be there for you-" "And you are, so shut up Masters and do what you're best at... Nothing and looking pretty."

He smiled as she grinned before looking away, Duffy preparing the few bits of equipment she needed. She switched the machine on before there was a knock at the door. "Sorry, excuse me one moment?" Connie nodded as she headed to the door to see Charlie standing there. "For you?" Connie smiled as he stepped inside. "Yeah, I totally forgot that I'd told him about this..."

Charlie stepped behind Jacob, placing a hand to his shoulder. "Okay, ready to meet baby number four?" Connie was about to answer before Jacob sat up. "Actually, I might have asked someone else to come up here." He twisted to look at Connie who frowned his direction, Duffy standing entertained at the end of the bed. "Jacob, who else could you possibly invite to-"

She was cut off by a knock at the door, before it opened with Elliot walking inside. "See, I can be useful." Connie smirked as Elliot stood to the other side of Connie, her hand firmly in his as he smiled down at her. Duffy looked to Connie and Jacob once more with a large smile. "Are we ready now?" Connie and Jacob shared a look before nodding. "Yes."

Stepping back up to the bed, she switched the monitor on before placing the probe to Connie's slightly raised stomach. Immediately the room was filled with the gentle thrumming of the heartbeat, Connie releasing a breath as soon as she heard it. She felt a squeezed on her hand from Jacob's side causing her to look to him. "Told you-" "Shut up."

Charlie smirked looking over at Elliot who rolled his eyes before the door was pushed open and several people stood in the doorway. Duffy had spun round to look at them all with a surprised expression. Connie arched a brow as Alicia shrugged gently. "We couldn't stay downstairs knowing you were all up here without us." She bit her lip hoping Connie wouldn't scream at them all, because there was no knowing with her at the moment.

Rolling her eyes once again she nodded. Alicia, Cal, Lily and Ethan all walked into the room, suddenly it felt a lot smaller than it had before. With everyone inside Duffy shook her head thoroughly entertained. "And here... We see Baby Masters, congratulations." "Aww, look they're adorable Cal-" "We are not having another child."

Alicia sulked as he pulled her into his side while Connie laughed looking up at them. "Congratulations baby." She dropped her eyes back to Jacob who was smiling uncontrollably at her. "You too muscles." He met her lips quickly before they were broken apart by Grace running into the room. "Mum Charlie's being annoying again! Woah, why is everyone in here? Where's my invite to the party?"

Jacob laughed before Grace took his seat looking to the screen seeing her baby brother or sister. "Okay this is just creeping me out right now Mum." Connie couldn't help but laugh at her daughter. Charlie and Daisy were soon beside the bed as everyone looked to the screen once more. "Look Mum, it looks like they're waving." Grace pointed quickly causing everyone to smile again.

With a room full of people and the reassurance her baby was okay, the nerves disappeared and the familiarity of family returned. "I guess it does sweetheart..." "Where is the baby Mummy?" Daisy was sat on the edge of the bed with a smile before Connie pointed to her stomach. "They're in my tummy at the moment-" "How did they get in there!?"

Daisy's expression changed, as did everyone else's as they began to step back from the bed. "Okay show's over-" "Yeah time to go." Cal commented before him and Alicia moved to the door, quickly followed by everyone else. Connie shook her head with her tongue pushed into her cheek. "Thanks for the support guys!" "You're welcome!" Charlie smiled before closing the door leaving the six of them in the room.

"Well Mummy?" "How about we go home for pizza guys?" Jacob interrupted turning all their attention onto something else. "YES!" Daisy and Charlie were already by the door as Grace smirked to her mother. "Nice one Dad." Jacob winked at Grace as she waited with Connie before leaving the room. "See, nothing to worry about with that lot behind you."

Connie smiled to Duffy, embracing her once before leaving with Grace. "Have fun with that won't you?" "Excuse me sweetheart, but I am not explaining to Daisy where babies come from just yet... And neither are you before you get smart and think about telling her!" "Would I ever Mum? You think so little of me." Connie rolled her eyes wrapping her arm around her daughter's shoulders. "No I just know you well enough Grace Beauchamp, don't try me."

Grace laughed hugging into her mother before following Jacob, Charlie and Daisy out to the car. "Just know that one day I'll tell her and she will never stop asking you questions-" "You dare Beauchamp." Grace laughed hysterically before stepping away from her mother and grabbing Daisy, lifting her up.

"Alright sweet cheeks?" "Me? I'm fine muscles." Jacob had his arm around Connie's waist as they watched the three children laughing along the corridor before continuing to the car.
