Three days

Nico sat miserably on the infirmary bed. Three days, was what he promised Will Solace. Three days. When he made the deal with the blond, he was so high-strung and anxious that three days seemed short. But now, sitting on the bed, time seemed to slow, as though Kronos had purposefully slowed it. Nico shuddered at the thought of the titan king. Before he could dwell on the past, Will marched in, a determined scowl on his face.

Nico wanted to tell him that the scowl did not look good on his face, but he figured that it would dig him into a deeper grave, so he kept silent. He watched as the blond scribbled some notes on a piece of paper clipped to a clipboard.

"Okay, Nico. I'm going to need you to take off your top now." Nico flushed, and could only muster a weak squeak of apprehension.

"Is that okay? Nico, I have to check your wound, please?" Will's pleading voice was too much for him to handle.

"O...okay." He slipped off the grey tee from his thin body, careful not to expose the underside of his wrists and arms.

Will smiled faintly, giving some ambrosia to Nico and then checking the extent of damage of Nico's injury. A soft sigh of relief escaped Will's mouth.

"It's not serious. Thank gods. You just need rest, and it'll heal." Will bandaged the wound and Nico shivered at the light brush of his fingers.

"Sorry, did...did that hurt?" Will's fingers retracted, and Nico could only stop himself from whining at the loss of contact.

"No." He paused. "Will?"

"Hm?" Will's gaze locked on his now, and his blue eyes made Nico's very soul shudder in pleasure.

"Thank you. No one's ever...cared for me this much since...Bianca." Nico's breath skittered at his sister's name, and Will smiled sympathetically.

"You're welcome. Go and rest now, Nico." Before Nico could reply, Will disappeared, as though he melted into the shadows of the room.

Only then did Nico become aware of how fast his pulse was going. His heart hammered in his chest, and Nico numbly lifted the shirt over his head. What is this feeling? Nico's eyes closed before he could determine an answer.

"Morning." Nico roused from his sleep, admittedly the best sleep he's had in months, and saw Will smiling at him from the foot of the bed.

"Morni-" Nico yawned, and missed the look in Will's eyes.

The blond walked to the side of the bed, and in a split second, his eyes darkened.

"Nico." He said, his tone was barely controlled fury. "What did you do to your wrists?"

Nico inhaled with sudden sharpness, and drew his vulnerable arms to his chest.

He'd seen them. He'll think that I'm a freak. No one does this to themselves. Oh gods, why?

"Nothing." Somehow, Nico couldn't find the energy in him to force for conviction in his tone.

"Nico," The blond's voice was impossibly soft. "Let me see it."

Suddenly Nico was overwhelmed by a surge of tiredness. He was tired of hiding the scars, tired of feeling so alone, tired of being sad all the time, tired of being a ball of grief. He allowed Will's fingers to clamp around his wrist and for him to have a good look.

"Oh, Nico." Will breathed, fingers gingerly tracing the scars that lined his arms.

Nico blinked back tears, and choked back a sob when he felt Will's feathery touch on his skin. It felt unreal, like he was dreaming. And yet, Nico didn't want it to end. He wanted Will to continue stroking his scars, he wanted Will to be with him, he wanted Will to take care of him.

You're in love with him.

That was it. The feeling he had for Percy was nothing compared to what he felt now. This? This was overwhelming.

Suddenly, Will dropped Nico's arms and stalked out of the room. His heart shattered into millions of pieces. Curling into a tight ball, Nico let tears run down his cheeks, staying like that for nearly the rest of the day.

###

Nico truly hadn't expected Will to come back. Much less did he expect Will Solace kissing him, right on the lips.

Will had come, walking briskly toward Nico, who was very much prepared to yell at him, when Will grabbed his wrists and kissed him. The feeling was overwhelming, but Nico's fingers tightened on the collar of Will's Camp Half Blood tee almost immediately. They kissed, kissed as though there was no tomorrow, as though to make up for every second that they had pined after each other, as though it was a lifebouy in the middle of stormy seas.

Nico whimpered against Will's lips, as though he was a puppy that was whipped, and then met someone who stroked his ears instead.

They pulled away when their lungs were burning with the lack of oxygen, panting lightly, their eyes boring into one another's. Nico's fingers remained curled on the fabric of Will's tee shirt, like he was terrified of losing Will.

"You have, no idea how long I wanted to do that." Will said, taking Nico's hands and stroking them.

"I.."

"Don't say anything, Nico. You don't have to." Nico smiled gratefully, tilting his head upwards, in hopes of getting another kiss.

Will laughed, and granted his wish.

The day had gone by in a blur. Just a few hours after Will had kissed him, Nico was discharged. He wasn't ready to leave Will yet. Not when he'd just got him. He just...couldn't go back to living alone, eating alone, being alone.

"Hey, Neeks, it's gonna be fine. You can eat with the Apollo cabin. I'll tell Chiron abouut some psychological thing you have...you can't be alone for too long or you'll be all...sad and depressed again." Will said, scaring Nico from his thoughts.

"R..really? Thanks." Nico murmured, and blushed.

Will smiled, giving Nico's hand a soft squeeze before departing.

Nico watched the blond leave, and a smile flitted across his usually grim face.

End.

Author's note: I had to. I had to. How can you write a Solangelo fic without the 'Three days' chapter? I actually like this one. I may do another one in a different plot. Hm...
