Nice huffed in annoyance as he slid the key into the lock. Today had been an extremely long and frustrating day. To start, just when Nico stepped foot into the workplace, nearly everything went wrong, and being the dicks that they were, his coworkers pinned it all on him. He made sure to sent armies of the undead after them. However, Nico was still reprimanded by his boss. He even had half a mind to sent skeletons to chase his biased employer, but he didn't think that Will would like the fact that he's been abusing his power again. So all he could do was nod and agree.

"Hey Neeks, long day?" Hearing Will's voice made him relax, just slightly, but Nico no longer felt the need to commit first-degree murder.

Will was leaning against the wall, arching a brow. He looked so effortless, Nico almost forgot his rage. Almost.

Nico sighed before saying, "'Long day doesn't even begin to cover it."

Will chuckled, and pressed a quick kiss onto Nico's forehead. Nico was then led into the living room.

"Rest first. I'll make dinner."

"You make dinner? I'd like to see you try." Nico murmured, but he was too weary to stop Will from cooking.

"Jerk." Will said, in faux anger, before disappearing into the kitchen.

Nico settled on the couch, and felt a rush of tiredness overwhelm him. He was out like a light in a matter of seconds.

Intermittent chirps rudely awoke Nico, and he took a few moments to become less bleary-eyed.

What was that incessant noise?  It sounds like...

OH MY GODS.

"WILL??? Did you burn something?" Suddenly, the acrid scent of smoke was obvious, sending Nico's nerves into haywire.

He stumbled into the kitchen, where he found Will, who was throwing open the small window and shooing out the smoke.

"What did you do?" Nico seethed, and Will responded by smiling sheepishly.

"It wasn't my fault...okay, well, maybe it's my fault, but the pan just exploded, and when I was tying to clean up, I forgot that I had something in the oven and...this happened."

Nico glared at the chaos in the kitchen, and felt an irrational wave of anger rise in his chest. He must've been frowning or something, because Will spoke up again.

"I'm sorry, Neeks. Let's just...order something and clean this mess up." On a normal basis, Nico would have smiled told Will that it was fine.

But today? Today was not 'normal.' He was too wound up, and trying extremely hard not to snap at the blond that looked horribly guilty. Will took the hint, and escaped into the living room, murmuring something about ringing the pizza parlor down the street. With a sigh, Nico began to clear up the food that was scattered on the floor, and the counter-tops.

Cleaning with Will was a pain. Well, kind of. Okay, not really, but at that time it was.

Cleaning up the kitchen would have taken less than 10 minutes if it weren't for Will, who'd rather distract Nico with kisses, whisper sweet nothings, and picking the smaller male up for no reason.

"Will! Put me down, for the sake of the Gods!" Nico exclaimed, and Will responded with a laugh.

"Okay, fine, just, please don't be mad at me." Nico smirked, and without warning, connected their lips together.

It was a brief, short kiss, but meaningful nonetheless.

"Next time, I'm doing the cooking." Nico said, and the doorbell rang. "Oh, pizza's here."

End.
