Will Solace. When campers hear this name, they immediately know who this person was. Will was the very definition of bright and sunny. He had a positive outlook on life, always upbeat, and had an optimistic personality that was sometimes quite infectious. The point was, Will was like the sun, radiating happiness and cheeriness.
Nico Di Angelo, however, was a completely different case. The Son of Hades was no happy-go -lucky kind of person. Nico oozed darkness, death and danger wherever he went. He radiated a dangerous and scary aura, that made campers stay away. He was the kind of person that saw the cup as half-empty. Nico had a very negative outlook on life and had a very pessimistic personality. The thing is, Nico was like the moon, shrouding the lands in darkness as nighttime fell upon the earth.
These two were completely and utterly polar opposites. Opposites were supposed to hate each other. They were supposed to rival each other. They were supposed to challenge each other. So then why did Nico and Will get along so damn well? Somehow, despite being at different ends of the spectrum, they fitted like two pieces of a broken heart. To the campers of Camp Half-Blood, there was something endearing about these two and how they were so compatible.
That's probably why the entire camp ships it so hard.
