Solangelo One-shots.

Snowball fight!

"Take thi-" Hazel's ruthless scream was cut short as a snowball slammed into her face. 

"Hah!" She heard Nico yell in triumph, and she blindly flung the snowball in the direction of his voice, trying to get rid of the frost and snow that covered her face. 

"Can't get me!" Nico taunted, before he yelped, because a snowball crashed into his back, thrown by Will. 

"Nice try, Will! I'll get you back!" 

Suddenly, Reyna let out a loud squeal, momentarily pausing the entire snowball brawl. Reyna's thick braid was caked in snow, her face flushed, snow falling off of her eyelashes. 

"GROVER, YOU..." She left her threat unfinished, before picking up a pile of snow, hastily crushing it into a ball, and flinging it at Grover's shocked face. 

"Take that!" Reyna whooped, before Percy swooped in, shooting two snowballs in the direction. 

Barely managing to dodge them, Reyna chased after Percy, armed with snowballs. 

"Leo! You can't just melt the snowballs, man! That's cheating!" Jason complained, and Leo shrugged in silent gloating. 

"I can and I will." 

Piper, who was standing behind Leo, locked eyes with Jason, and they immediately understood each other. 

"C'mon man, play fair, that's much more fun." 

"Nah, I'm happy staying here-" His words lodged in his throat when Piper managed to slam the snowball in between his shoulderblades. 

"YES!" The duo yelped in happiness, high-fiving each other before speeding away. 

"OH, YOU'RE GOING TO GET IT!" Leo roared playfully, gaining on the couple. 

Frank watched as snowballs rained at Hazel, as she attempted to hide from the oncoming attack. 

"Frankkkk!!! Help me!" She whined, ducking behind a tree as Will launched yet another snowball at her. 

Apparently, Nico had gotten Will to team up with him. No surprise there. Frank grinned, before joining Hazel behind the tree, his arms full of snow ammo. 

"Take this, and this, and that, you little rascals!" Hazel shrilled, throwing the snowballs with such force and speed that it forced both Will and Nico to part ways and hide. 

Annabeth sped into the scene, chasing after a terrified Grover, yelling, "CAN'T HIDE NOW, CAN YOU, SATYR?" 

"NOOO! ANNABETH, STOP! GO AFTER REYNA OR SOMETHING!" He howled, only to be pounced on by the blonde girl, and getting a faceful of snow. 

"PERCY! GET BACK HERE!" 

"YOU CAN'T GET ME, PRAETOR!" Percy challenged, and Reyna let out an outraged yell. 

"We'll see about that! Jason? Leo? Piper?" Suddenly, the three of them appeared out of nowhere, their fingers curled around delicate snowballs, smirks on their faces. 

"Oh no." Percy managed, before all four snowballs were thrown at him, and he struggled to escape. "NO! I've been tricked! AMBUSHED! ANNABETH!" 

Then Annabeth appeared at the brawl, her face streaked with tears from the cold, a smirk on her face. "Sorry, seaweed brain!" 

With that, a snowball was launched at him, making Percy groan and flop on the ground in defeat. 

"GUYS! CHOOSE YOUR SIDES!" Suddenly, Nico's voice turned their attention to the ongoing battle between Will and Nico and Hazel and Frank. 

Reyna made a beeline toward Nico, dodging as much snowballs as she possibly could. The remaining shrugged, as Percy and Annabeth headed to Hazel's side of the war. Leo and Piper ran toward Nico and Will, while Jason screamed at Grover, who was oblivious at the other end of the park to join Frank and Hazel, not before yelling at Piper and Leo that they were traitors. 

So the final battle begun, five demigods against four demigods and one satyr. 

Snowballs rained onto both home bases until all of them were literally covered knee-deep in snow, their arms aching. 

So they called a draw, slapped each other on the backs and made their way toward Will's and Nico's apartment, or 'Solangelo's apartment', as the others call it, for hot cocoa and to sit in front of the fireplace.

Laughter echoed in the sitting room, as the group of friends huddled together in front of the fireplace, fingers wrapped securely around mugs of hot cocoa with extra marshmallows, of course. 

"That was so amazing! I'm so glad we decided to meet up, guys." Hazel exclaimed, and the entire sitting room exploded with murmurs of agreement. 

The seating arrangement went like this, Hazel was sitting so close to Frank, it was as though they were joined at the hip. Percy and Annabeth were the closest to the fireplace, their fingers threaded together with each other's. Reyna sat in the middle of Leo and Grover, seemingly pleased by how both boys slumped against her in tiredness. She looked at the two boys as though they were her little brothers.Piper and Jason sat beside Will and Nico, Piper's head on Jason's shoulder and his arm around her waist. Nico was sitting on Will's lap, Will's chin tucked into the crook of Nico's shoulder. 

Silence washed around them like a wave, but it was a comfortable silence. Nico glanced at the crackling fireplace before he looked at the Christmas tree, sitting innocently at the side of the room, their unopened presents laid neatly (Hazel was adamant about tidiness.) underneath the tree. 

He smiled. He couldn't wait for Christmas.
