"She was a rose in the hands of those who had no intentions in keeping her."
Chapter 40:
Killer FrostBELLAMY POV:
"I don't like this Bell, why do you have to go?" O nagged me.
"It was my idea, I brought it up which means I have to pursue it O." I smiled, briefly.
"I know Bell, I just don't want you to go. I have a bad feeling about this, it's not safe." She told me, concerned.
"O, listen." I took her hands in mine and smiled.
"Nothing on this planet is safe. For all we know, Ontari might have her men kill us before dawn but we have to try and stop her. Nations and people are in stake, not just ours. I'll be alright and if not, you'll tell your kids how I decided to play hero." I grinned. She playfully punched me,
"Not funny Bell, I can't go on without you." I hated leaving her here, but I figured only a couple of us should go. At least if we fail, they have a chance of running and therefore surviving.
"You won't have to, O." I hugged her tightly. For all I knew, I was saying goodbye.
So many voices inside my head screamed how dangerous this mission was, forget what I've said during my speech about Ontari messing with us and it being a suicide, this is a real suicide! Last night, we've assembled a team of those who are going and of those who are staying and guarding the camp with full responsibility. Lincoln, our best fighter goes alongside of me. We figured there should be maximum 3 people in the group for it to be sufficient. O, Raven, Jasper and the crew are in charge of the camp. Raven has been engineering miniature bombs for the base's defense. O has been teaching the kids how to fight and Jasper and Monty have been doing something that a non nerd like me could not quite understand. Of course, the third and the final member of our team is the person I've fought my ass off not to come but as reckless as she comes, she couldn't let us or it go.
"You're not going and that's final!" I yelled as I was packing up the last of my stuff.
"You cannot order me not to go!" She argued like a child she is.
"Maybe, but I can surely prevent you from going, with my own ways of course." I almost threatened her.
"Bellamy! Give me one reason not to go and if it's believable enough, I'll agree to stay." She demanded.
"One reason?! How about your life and my sanity? I know that in your head you think I'm a senseless and emotionless ass but we both know that a two days have not changed how I feel about you. I'd literally go out of my freaking mind if you died Clarke! Believe it or not, I can't lose you, Princess." I sighted,
That's it, I was out of my mind saying this to her at a time like now. We had to get going and although I knew, I needed all the help I could get, I couldn't just let her come with me. It is too dangerous.
"You want my forgiveness Bellamy?" She asked, fury written across her face.
"All you have to do to gain it is let me come with you." Clarke added.
"I would rather have you hate me for the rest of our lives than have you dead because I couldn't protect you." I cried out to her, yelling. "It is simple, Clarke. The ground is ruthless, nothing will change that and this time we are facing the worst of the worst. Trained assassins in leather and fur. Imagine the scariest horror movie you have watched back on the Arc, well now we are living in it. My answer is no." I explained, quickly walking away from her.
"Fine Bellamy!" She yelled back at me.
I took my gear and dressed well as we were to stand on enemy territory soon. I gave farewells to everybody but O, who couldn't leave Lincoln nor I to go.
"Bellamy.." O cried.
"O, don't do this now, you know I can't leave knowing you are left with that miserable frown on your face." I told.
"Be careful, okay?" She pleaded.
"Of course, we will try and make contact as soon as possible. Train hard O, train yourself and everyone around you, we have to prepare for potential war. If this goes south, promise me to take care of Clarke.. and the rest." I smirked sadly.
"I promise ,Bell." O told, hugging me tightly and then running after Lincoln. She gave him a soft kiss on the cheek, both of them blushed. If I didn't know better, I'd think my little sister had a crush.
CLARKE POV:
Sure, just because he thinks he can tell me I can't go, doesn't mean I will listen. I will go on my own if needed be.
I'm watching them cross the gate, Bellamy's eyes locked with mine in a split of a second, I felt unease as I looked away. In order to go after them.. I have to find Lexa first. I need her help. Maybe I cannot forgive Bellamy for what he has done, but I definitely cannot let him risk his life in order to potentially save ours._____
Hey everybody! I have been absent for almost a year, however I plan to change this. The story will continue according to my previous thoughts and maybe, if you are willing to still read it, you will enjoy even some of my new ideas. The transition for this book is in place and soon the ending.
I was thinking of writing a sequel? What do you think about it.
Thank you for everything, give me some thoughts and ideas of yours and soon I will publish more chapters! Love you all!xoxo, Lea
