JJ drives onto the University of Georgia campus and she has memories come flooding back, of course they have BG in them. He would come down and go to games with her on Saturdays and they loved cheering their Dawgs. Then she has the memories of playing in Stegeman Coliseum and knowing that BG and Ko were in the crowd cheering her on. She parks and gets out of her truck. She walks over and meets Coach Landers and Coach Taylor and they walk to Coach Taylor's office. Coach Taylor asked what she was doing now. JJ tells her," I am a school nurse for a small high school in Alabama and I coach varsity girls basketball and have for the past 3 years. I have a player I think you might want to take a look at, I think she would fit in here at UGA. I thought since I was here I might leave you some film to look at."
Coach Taylor said," I will look at it and if you are recommending her I know she must be good. If I like what I see I may send someone to watch her and be in contact with you to set it up. Now tell me what the scoop is on you and Brantley Gilbert and is it true that him and Chase Rice got in a fight over you?"
JJ laughs," Well BG and I have been friends since I was 10 years old. We were best friends until I turned 22 and something happened that we lost touch. We have gotten back in touch and are together now as a couple and there was an altercation between them because of something Chase said and did."
Coach Landers laughed," I'm glad to see you smile you were always so serious and the only times I ever saw you let loose was when those Gilbert boys came to town. So I'm so happy for you JJ. However we have something we want to discuss with you, we both knew you were coaching and have kept up with you. What we want to ask you is would you consider coming home to UGA and being a part of our staff here? Now before you say anything it will be after this school year and we don't have to have an answer anytime soon. Just by the first of June so you have roughly 7 months to think about it and weigh all your options. You would be a scout for us traveling and watching and talking to recruits for us. "
JJ is dumbfounded she had no idea that anything like this was going to happen. She looks at both of them and said," I am extremely honored that you would askg me to join UGA as a coach or recruiter. I will consider it and let you know something as soon as I know something. "
Coach Taylor said," I hate to rush but I need to get to practice. JJ I would love to have you on staff here. And I will definitely be taking a look at your girl tonight. I will be in touch ."
JJ stood and said," thank you Coach Taylor, look forward to hearing from you."
JJ hugs Coach Landers and they walk out. He looks at her and said," it's time to come home JJ, at least you would be in the same state as your young man"
JJ laughs and said," Still manipulating people Coach?"
He laughs and hugs her and tells her to be careful and not to be a stranger.
JJ got in her truck and headed back to Alabama with so many things running through her mind. Good thing she had a 4 hour drive so she could think .
JJ headed to the gym to shoot and workout before basketball practice after she got home and unpacked. She was running through all her old drills and had BG's music blaring out of the sound system when her phone goes off. She sees it's her alarm and goes to unlock the doors for the girls. Oakley comes in and asks her if she had a good weekend. JJ told her she did that she spent the weekend in Georgia. Oakley asked her if BG was as sexy out of his clothes as he was in them. JJ told her that she needed to hush. The other girls came in and we're giving JJ a hard time about her motorcycle ride the other day. She told them to hush or they would find themselves running. She worked them hard and they finished up knowing they had a game everyday this week except Wednesday. She told them all goodnight and as she was cleaning up and locking up her phone rang. It was BG.
JJ : Hey there
BG : Hey baby are you home yet?
JJ: no just finished practice so I was picking up and locking up before I headed home .
BG: What's your schedule like this week baby?
JJ : I have games everyday this week except Wednesday. Tomorrow and Tuesday on the road but then Thursday and Friday's are home.
BG: How did your meeting at UGA go?
JJ : it was very interesting, they are gonna watch film and if they like what they see they will send someone out to watch her in person and you were topic of conversation she wanted to know what our deal was and was it true that you and Chase were fighting over me. I told her that there was an altercation over something he said and did to me. And I told her we were together.
BG: Really? Well baby I am glad that you feel like telling others we are together. Now are you about home?
JJ : yeah I am and I have to hit the shower cause I smell, I went and worked out before practice doing my drills that I used to do.
BG: What's on your mind cause that was always your way to escape when you had something on your mind?
JJ: Well Coach talked to me about something and I am thinking on it but not ready to discuss it with you just yet.
BG: well just so you know you can let me know and I will listen when you are ready to talk.
JJ: I know and I will soon I promise BG.
BG: I will let you go to shower and get in the bed and I will talk to you tomorrow. I love you Jennifer Justine!
JJ: I love you Brantley Keith, and I will talk to you tomorrow.
