Can't Forget

Chapter 35

JJ wakes up and she just lays in the comfort of BG's arms with her head on his chest listening to his heart beat. She thinks back to last night and how BG made her feel, loved cherished and like she was the only woman in the world for him. She never thought that she could feel that with him, dreamed about it hoped for it but never in her wildest dreams did she think he would ever look at her like he did last night. She can hardly wait to be home in Georgia with him this next week, but first they have a basketball game to go watch. She loves Georgia basketball and she has been thinking about the offer, it would be great to be back in Georgia closer to BG but then again he travels over half the year on tour. She isn't even sure what his plans are for them. I guess that is something they need to discuss this week.
   BG lays still, he knows JJ is awake but he wants to hold her awhile longer. Last night was a night he will never forget, he showed her all the things that he can't put into words on how he feels about her.He knows they have some things to talk about and work out and he is hoping that this week in Georgia they will be able to figure out some things. He realizes that she needs to talk out her feelings about coaching and moving to UGA as a coach/recruiter.
  Ko yells,"Are y'all up yet cause we have a game to go to and we still have to pick up Oakley, so get your asses out of bed!"
   JJ yells back,"Don't get your panties in a wad Ko we have plenty of time to get ready!"
  BG laughs," he's gonna be so mad at you JJ"
  "Nah he loves me BG besides we do have time and I was enjoying just laying here wrapped in your arms." JJ said.
   "Well as bad as I hate to admit we do need to get up baby." BG said
"I know. I'm gonna hop in the shower now cause it takes me longer than you."
" I will get your coffee for you baby girl"BG said

   As he walked into the kitchen Ko asked ,"When are you planning on asking her bro?"
BG smiled as he poured their coffee," I don't know maybe this week while we are at home, got to have some serious talk before I can. God I love her Ko"
    Ko just laughed and said," you are whipped I can't wait for Ben and the boys to see this"
BG gave him the finger as he walked back to the bathroom to hand JJ her coffee and hop in the shower.

   They are headed to Tuscaloosa after picking Oakley up and have talked about the farm, hunting whitetail deer and some of the best spots to go muddin'. Oakley starts asking JJ questions about her playing days and Ko and BG fill her in a little and JJ told her that she loved playing at UGA. She quit because of her studies and clinicals other than that she would have played all 4 years. She told Oakley that being at UGA and playing was some of the best times of her life.
They arrive in Tuscaloosa and head to the Coleman Coliseum. They find their seats and get drinks and snacks and are having the best time just hanging out. They all get into the game and Oakley is yelling and JJ can tell that this is something she wants to do. After the game they decide to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings before heading back home.
  On the way back home Oakley tells JJ that if she likes the campus then well she thinks she will be ready to sign and play for UGA. JJ tells her to take a little time talk to her parents and weigh her options. Oakley asked if that was what she did, JJ said," No I signed when I went on my visit. My parents didn't want me to play ball so I was on my own, well not completely I had BG, Ko and Momma Becky supporting me and that was all I needed."
They drop Oakley off and Ko gets in his truck and heads back to the farm as BG and JJ get their bags they had already packed and they head to Georgia to Brantley's.

BG said," Since we have a 4 hour drive JJ you want to do some talking about whether or not you are gonna take the job UGA offered you?"
JJ sighed," yeah I guess. I mean it has always been my dream to be a nurse but at the same time I love being a coach and making a difference in the lives of my kids. I'm not sure if I am ready to let go of they connection BG. I know that I don't make a lot of money but I do make a difference in their lives or at least I think I do."
BG said," you do make a difference Jake shared what you have done for him and look at Oakley you have changed her life by making her see that she didn't have to stay with an abusive boyfriend and now has the world at her fingertips. But I guess what I'm really asking JJ is do you see yourself with me long term as in the whole marriage and babies thing"
JJ turns to look at BG as he is driving and said," are you serious Brantley cause don't throw that at me if you aren't serious, my dream has always been having a husband and babies and you know that so don't give me false hope that is what you want if it isn't"
BG looked at her and said," darlin I love you and I want all that with you and I guess being with you these few days I can see how it would be and I just had hoped that you might want that with me but I know I hurt you and wasn't so sure that you would give me a chance "
JJ said," Yes you hurt me but we are past that Brantley we are on our way to a great future together. So are you saying you want me to take the UGA job so I will be in the same state you are?"
BG said," No I want you to take it if it is what you want. I want you to travel with me and see how you like it and maybe if you took it you could combine the job and being on the road with me. If and only if that is what you want. If you aren't ready to give up being a school nurse and coach well then we will figure it out baby. I would love for you to move back home with me but I don't want to push you JJ I want to support you and what you want."
"Did I just hear you ask me to move back to Georgia and into your house Brantley?"
"Yes you did, I love you Jennifer Justine and I want us to be together all the time I'm not doing this to start a fight I'm doing this cause I lost you once for not being truthful on how I felt and I said I wouldn't let you get away again without laying it all on the line. So the ball is in your court baby how do you want to play?"
