Can't Forget

Chapter 25

   BG is awakened by his phone ringing and he rolls over to find it and realizes he was still sheathed inside JJ. He's hard and about to wake her up when his phone is going off again. He gets up and finds his phone as growls,"Ko you better have a damn good reason for waking my ass up this early on a Saturday morning"
JJ sits up and looks at BG and she knows something is wrong by the look on his face.
"Thanks for the heads up Ko, now I need you to text everyone and find out if anyone got it on video. If so send it to me. She won't get away with this. Okay keep me informed."
JJ looks at BG and said," What has bitch pulled now?"
He rubs his head and looks at JJ and said,"I'm so sorry baby, I seem to cause you nothing but trouble."
"Just tell me BG, what are we dealing with?"JJ said
"That was Ko and the sheriff has been to Momma's house looking for us. Amber is pressing charges against you and Ko wanted to give us a heads up. So let's get you in the shower and I will call the sheriff and let you turn yourself in and we can tell him it was self defense cause she hit you first. I'm thinking someone has it on video on their phone."
JJ got up and headed to the shower while BG called the sheriff. The sheriff agreed to let JJ come in on her own and if they had video proof that Amber hit first then it would be self defense no matter how bad the beating to Amber was, and the sheriff told BG it was a pretty good one.
He goes to the bathroom and gets in the shower with JJ pulling her into his arms. He takes her washcloth and soaps it up and washes her. He tells her that he loves her and he wasn't gonna let her go to jail over that bitch. JJ laughs and tells him," I ain't going to jail I know Ashley and that she had her phone out videoing the moment she saw Amber there cause she hates her, and would want a record of me beating her ass."
  "Okay well lets hope you are right, but she has always been nice to Amber when we visited Cam." BG said.
  "Well it is because if you will think the only time you got Cam was when they were there or Amber wasn't gonna be with you. Ashley hates Amber cause she hit on Eli when they were dating.Now lets go see what we are dealing with."
BG looked at JJ and just shook his head, she continues to surprise him. BG gets out of the shower to find JJ grinning from ear to ear and she hands him her phone and he looks and he starts laughing and said," get dressed and lets get this shit straightened out so we can get back to our weekend baby."
  JJ gets ready and they take BG's truck back to the sheriffs in Jefferson. Brantley and JJ walk in and tell the desk clerk the sheriff is expecting them. Brantley and JJ were shown to his office and he stands and tells JJ he's sorry about this and JJ said," you are doing your job but she lied, she slapped me first and then I let her have it sheriff, so if she wants to push this then I want to file charges against her and I have the video to back up my statement."
  Sheriff said," okay let me see the video"
JJ hands her phone over and he plays the video and said," you are right JJ, let me make a call and see what Ms Cochran wants to do."

   BG takes JJ's hand and holds it letting her know that he is there with her. The sheriff tells them they are free to go and that the arrest warrant for JJ has been rescinded due to more information coming to light.
They walk out of the sheriffs office and BG asks if she wants to go eat breakfast at Momma's. JJ quickly agrees and as they get in the truck to leave they see Amber pulling in. She gives them a death glare and JJ gives her the middle finger causing BG to laugh.
They arrive at Momma's house and see that they weren't the only ones who though breakfast was a good idea. Ko, Eli,Ashley and Cam are standing in the front porch. As they get out Momma comes running and asks JJ," How's my baby girl? Is everything taken care of or do I need to talk to Jack myself and remind him who you belong to?"
Everyone laughs and JJ hugs Momma Becky and tells her everything is fine and all taken care of since Ashley had videoed it like she knew she would.
Ashely said," DAMN straight I wanted to be able to watch it over and over again cause it has been a long time coming."
Eli looked at her and said,"Ash, baby, it's time to let that shit go we weren't married then."
Ashley said,"We were together and bitch knew it, but I'll make a deal with you. I will let it go IF you let the deal with Justin go."
Eli looked at her and said,"Hell no I ain't ever letting that go until I get to whoop his ass. He grabbed your ass and told you that you could do better than me."
Ashley laughed," I rest my case baby"
BG, JJ and Ko all laughed at them and JJ said," its good to know some things haven't changed in 5 years."
Momma B came back out and told them breakfast was ready so they all washed up and gathered around to eat.
They decided to do a little shooting today cause BG wanted to let Cam shoot and blow some things up. After helping Momma Becky clean up they all headed to BG's house.
On the way there JJ said," you know we have to talk about what she said last night."
He sighed and said," yeah I know we do"
"You left her in the middle of having sex with her to come to me, and from her take more than once. Why would you do that? Now I kind of understand her hate of me." JJ said

"Well you called and needed me and you were always my top priority JJ, I loved you when you were 17 but felt like you deserved a better man. I was drinking and doing drugs and knew that you were going places and didn't need me dragging you down. Hell baby they were scouting you at 16 for college ball. I couldn't compete with that. I wanted you to shine and I made the right choice because shine you did at UGA. Then when your parents were killed I left her cause if not for her I could have been the one to tell you not some stranger. Ko called me and I ignored it cause I was getting some ass but I couldn't ignore your call cause I knew that you wouldn't call for nothing. I never ignored your calls. I loved you then but I was trying to do the right thing for you."
"Oh B, I loved you then but I felt like you only saw me as a buddy cause I wasn't a girly girl like Amber. Why did we waste so much damn time. I wanted you then I want you now but baby we are different people and yet the same. So as much as I want you I'm scared too"
"I know JJ, I promise you that this is gonna work. Always truthful even if it hurts."
JJ kissed his cheek and he pulled her close as they drove the rest of the way in silence.
