Chapter 21

JJ is walking out of the gym with Oakley talking about playing college ball when she hears the rumble of a motorcycle. She wonders who is picking up their kid on a motorcycle. The bell rings and as she turns the corner of the gym she stops. Right there in the parking lot next to her truck is BG all laid back on his bike with his legs propped and crossed like he was taking a nap.
Oakley standing beside her said," if I thought he was sexy before that ain't nothing compared to now." "You can say that again" JJ replied and then slapped her hand over her mouth. Oakley laughed and BG sat up and raised his eyebrow at JJ after looking her up and down and gave her the head nod. She quickly walked over to him and he had already turned and sat down on the bike waiting on her. He handed her a helmet and she put it on and was buckling the straps when he started the bike. She used his shoulders for leverage and climbed on behind him and when she settled she tapped his leg letting him know she was ready to ride. He revved the bike and took off down the hill. They rode for about 20 minutes until he turned it down a dirt road and parked the bike. He threw his right leg on the gas tank and pulled JJ around to him. That was when she saw that he had a black eye and a cut on his lip. She kissed his lip and his eye and said,"do I dare ask what the other guy looks like and is he still standing?"
BG half grinned and said," when I left him he was on the floor but still able to breathe and talk"
" well my next question is will this be the end of it?" JJ asked.
" I think so baby but as I was leaving he said something that made me think that's why I'm here, he told me that I didn't deserve you and was I man enough for you cause the reason you came to him was that I had hurt you  and was I sure that I wouldn't do it again. That got me to thinking ...." "Stop right there baby, he doesn't know anything about you and me no details at all. You do deserve me cause you love me, we both went on false information for 5 years and hell yeah you are man enough for me. He wants to get in your head, make you doubt and then have you mess up pull away and then he thinks he will be clear to sweep right in to pick up the pieces of my broken heart. That ain't happening. Yeah you hurt me and if I'm honest I hurt you too by walking away and not telling you what happened. So yeah I have done a lot of searching too since that night. We, you and me, are the only ones that matter. So tell me how bad did he look?"
  BG kissed her hard with all teeth and tongue that had her melting into his body running her hands over his chest and fisting his shirt in her hands. When he pulled back he said," I love you and he is right I don't deserve you but there ain't no way in hell I am giving you up. Now I went to talk to him but when he smiled and acted like he hadn't done anything  I hit him in the mouth and he asked what the hell and I told him to leave you alone and he told me that he would be fucking your sweet pussy and I lost it baby. We went at it hard but I got him on the floor and beat his ass until his friend pulled me off. He's gonna have a couple black eyes may have broken his nose not sure, and pretty sure I bruised his ribs. That's when he told me all that as I was leaving and he was on the floor. Now let's talk about this outfit you have on. I love it but I hate that others see you like this I mean make me hard just watching you come out of the gym with those leggings on and just a tank top that shows off your body."
  JJ laughed," okay yeah this is one of my practice/ workout outfits and if it was just us girls I wouldn't have the tank top on so be grateful for that, about Chase well ole boy got what he deserves you don't mess with Brantley Keith Gilbert's woman and think that there won't be blowback. So thank you for defending me and my honor and I plan on doing the same next time I see queen bitch. Now how long are you here for?"
   "Okay baby I hear you on the workout outfit but aw baby I want you looking like that hell I want you all the time and it kills me cause I got to get on the road to meet up with the band in Arkansas. "
JJ smiled," take me back to school so I can get my truck and then go to the house so I can clean you up and feed you and get you on the road"
BG smiled and said," alright darling sounds like a plan"
  They both put helmets on and JJ climbs on behind him laying her head on his back feeling the happiest she had been in quite a while knowing that she was safe and protected.
  When they got back to school the boys were just letting out of practice  and JJ introduced BG to the boys coach as she got off and got into her truck. She told BG she would see him at her house and pulled out with him following her.
  She cleaned his lip and the cut on his eye and washed and cleaned his hands and she told him that he was gonna have a scar on his knuckles from the fight. He laughed as he told her it won't be the first one he has gotten over her. She looked at him and raised an eyebrow. He chuckled and said," Hell JJ, half my fights were over you cause when they found out we were just friends they told me what they wanted to do to you, and some when were in school because they said they had done something with you when we were getting ready for practice in the locker room."
  "I had no idea BG, other than the ones I saw and witnessed for myself."
  " I know baby and I kept it that way on purpose honestly that is why Amber and I broke up the first time cause I had been in another fight while drunk cause someone had said something about you. "
JJ finished up and takes him to the kitchen where she fixed him thick ham sandwiches and chips and poured him some sweet tea. She fixed her one and sat across from him and they ate catching up on the day and made plans for her to spend the weekend with him in 2 weeks when he got off tour after his hunting trip.
  She cleaned up the kitchen and then walked him out to his bike. He pulls her close and kisses her with all the love he has and she melts into him wrapping her hands around his neck. He tells her he has to go and gives her another kiss and she kisses his lip, eye and hands and tells him she loves him and he smiled, the true smile and he tells her, I love you too baby.
