Can't Forget

Chapter 53

BG turned around and hugged JJ, he couldn't believe it the trial was over and he didn't have to do jail time. Now they could focus on their wedding and planning it. He felt her tears and he raised her head and looked her in the eye before kissing her, soft and slow so she would know what he wants to say but couldn't. JJ didn't want to let go but she knew they had alot  to discuss before she had to go back to Alabama.
    They are in the truck going back to the house when BG said,"Now that all of that is taken care of you said you wanted to talk wedding plans so have you thought of a date darlin? "

"Yeah I have, how soon do you want to be married?" she asked

BG said,"today wouldn't be soon enough for me but what date do you have in mind?"

"Sunday March 19 cause you will come off tour for a break on March 18 and I have Spring Break the week of the 20th basketball season will be over and you don't go back on tour until April 6. With all of this it made me realize I don't want a long engagement B, I just want us married." she told him.

"Well can you get it all set up and ready by then and where are you wanting to get married?"

" I think with Momma and Ash's help we can get it done because I don't want fancy I want simple. I want it to be about you and me and our love story. I want to get married in the church we grew up in I want Rev. Moore to do the ceremony. I want Ash and KO by my side and Im assuming you want Ko and Eli by yours. So how about we have just those 3 since they have been through it all with us. The biggest thing will be my dress and getting it catered and making sure we can get the church. "

"Well no time like the present to see if we can get the church and preacher. " he said as he pulled into the church parking lot.

They walked inside and Rev.Moore met them and asked if he could help them. BG said,"You know that we are engaged and we just finished the trial and have set a date to be married and were wondering if we could have the wedding here and if you would perform the ceremony? "

Rev.Moore smiled and said,"I would be honored to perform the ceremony and what date were you looking to have it?"

JJ said,"Sunday night March 19 at 7:00pm."

Rev Moore looked at the church calendar and smiled and said,"its open so I will put down the Jaxon Gilbert wedding and block off the church and facilities. You will be able to decorate after church that Sunday morning. "

"Thank you Rev Moore and it won't be much decorating cause the church is beautiful just like it is. I have dreamed of being married here so I know exactly what I want and the reception will be held at the house so no worries on any other buildings. "

They said their goodbyes and on the way to the house they called Eli and Ash and Momma and Ko to tell them to meet them there they needed to talk to them.

BG looks over at JJ and he sees for the first time since this happened a genuine smile on her face and he knows that as long as she is happy then all is right in his world.

  They arrive home and the rest pull in behind them. As they go inside they have them all sit down and BG said,"We have set a wedding date and secured the church and Rev Moore but we need your help doing the rest of it so are you in to get the Jaxon Gilbert wedding off the ground?"

"We are but we need a date" Ash
"Hell yeah about damn time" Ko
"Of course watch your language Ko" Momma

JJ said, "Sunday March 19 at 7pm"

Ash looked at her and said, "2017?"

JJ grinned and said,"Yes I need a dress and so do both of you so we need to go tomorrow. Im not worried about the guys they can wear black pants and vest with a white shirt although B is gonna wear a black shirt no ties I don't care if it is the time that is supposed to be formal. But no ball cap till after the wedding. I need someone to do the food and flowers so HELP!"

"Yahoo!!!! Lets get this done. Momma you call Lori and get us in tomorrow. BG you are in charge of the music for the reception which I am assuming is gonna be here in the big shed. Eli you call Lou and ask if he can do the food for that day for 250 people. Ko you call Jesse and see if we can have the tables and chairs for that day. I will call Lisa to see if she can help me coordinate it all and JJ call Stephanie to see if she can do the flowers. Lets go people get on the phone we have a wedding to plan!" Ash said.

BG sent a couple of texts and said,"Music is taken care of but we need to build a stage so im gonna start on that now and get the wood."
"Tables and chairs are a go along with tablecloths" Ko reported.
"Food can be done on that day by Lou said to text him the menu you want JJ ." Eli said.
Momma said," Lori said for us to be there at 9am and she was doing the appointment herself."
"Stephanie is a go on flowers and we need to head down there now to pick out what I want. Now all we need to do is find someone to do the cakes." JJ said.
Ash said," Nope I have that handled you just find a picture of the cake you want."

JJ looks around and smiles. They are really gonna do this and get married in less than 2 months. She kissed BG and told him she would be back after the appointment with Stephanie. He told her he was gonna start the stage with Ko and Eli's help. As she walked out he said," I lobe you JJ"
