Can't Forget

Chapter 44

BG wakes up and he reaches for JJ and she isn't in bed with him. He looks around and then he listens and gets a whiff of bacon. JJ has to already be in the kitchen cooking for the masses that will descend on the house sfter lunchtime. They are all supposed to go trail riding at 1pm and then have supper together. He gets up and walks to the kitchen and he sees  JJ dancing around in his tshirt with those bare feet and painted red toenails. That drives him crazy seeing her long legs bare. She is singing away and he finally picks it up its Muscadine Bloodline Porchswing Angel. He stands there watching her knowing that he was gonna get to do this for the rest of his life and that today was just the beginning of Christmases together. JJ spins around and he's caught. She grins and walks over to him asking if he liked the show.
BG leans down and whispers next to her ear," oh yeah baby I love the show"  She kisses him on the neck and tells him to sit down and she would fix his plate. She played the food as he fixes his coffee and they sit discussing today and the plans. He tells her that it was open and that everyone brought food so they always had enough . As they are finishing Ko walks in and tells them that they need to get their asses in gear cause people start arriving early. JJ shook her head and cleans the kitchen making sure to turn her soup and chili down on low before heading upstairs to get ready.
  BG comes in as she is sliding on her jeans and he whistles and grabs her ass telling her," baby I just wanna strip you and have my way with you"
  JJ laughs and tells him," that would be great if we didn't have company so you will have to keep it in your pants till later baby"
BG groans and tells her that she is so bad teasing him. She puts on her long sleeve tshirt cause it was supposed to be a little warmer today. She grabs a sweatshirt and sits on the bed to slip on her hunter boots that way if there is any mud she's won't ruin her others. She grabs her hat and tells BG she is ready to ride. He shakes his head cause he forgets that JJ likes the outdoors and will enjoy having her on the ride today.
   When they get downstairs Eli l, Ash and Cam are there along with part of the band and their wives and girlfriends. BG introduces them to JJ.
  They here someone pull up and BG and everyone head outside and it was none other than Colt Ford and his family. Colt sees JJ and said,"He'll girl get over here and give me a hug, cuz. You are a sight for sore eyes I do believe you are prettier than before you took off with no word"
JJ ran to Colt and he hugged her and she told him." I missed you Colt"
"Well whose fault is that cuz?"
"I know it was mine but I just couldn't do it anymore Colt"
He smiled and patted her on the back and said," I'm glad to see that BG finally got his head out of his ass."
JJ just laughed. They all loaded up on the four wheelers and Polaris razors and took off on the trails. It was a great day to ride. JJ was behind Brantley on a four wheeler and they led the way. After several hours they made their way back to the house where the women fixed the food and brought it outside on the back porch and the men started the bonfire and fire pit on the porch. They say and told stories and caught up on what everyone had been doing.
   They all asked if there was a date and JJ told them no that maybe after her basketball season they could decide on a date after looking at BG schedule but it would probably be sometime next year. Ash asked how her team was doing and she told her still undefeated. Colt asked when was playoffs and JJ told him that when she got back it would start winding down with State being in February. Ko spoke up and said"they have a good shot at taking state and what JJ is not telling you is that they are ranked#1 in 1a basketball. JJ rolled her eyes and said," Rankings don't win ballgames that is a group of men who decide that not that any of them have ever been to one of our games. So I haven't ever put much stock in rankings. That just puts a bigger target on my girls backs and to be honest one I could do without"
They all laughed and wished  her well on the rest of the season.
  They all helped clean up and then brought out the guitars and started singing around the bonfire when Jason and Brittany walked up. They said hello to everyone and of course Colt BG and Jason had to sing Dirt Road Anthem. After several hours of singing and talking everyone said goodnight and headed to their own homes.
  BG and JJ walked inside and she said,"thank you for loving me and today was amazing being able to spend it hanging out with our friends and family. I wanted so bad to tell them about my job at UGA but I knew they wouldn't be able to keep it a secret until after February. BG smiled and said," I know darling and I can't wait to tell everyone either. I love you and we need to get to bed cause tomorrow is Christmas and it will be a long ass day."
JJ smiled and said," I love you too and I can hardly wait to wake up Christmas morning in your arms."
