Can't Forget

Chapter 60

JJ can't believe that it's Friday and they leave for State on Sunday. The school is having a pep rally for the girls and they are so excited! As they call the girls one by one they are presented with a dozen pink roses each wishing them good luck. JJ is called out by her principal Mr. Hayes.
  " Coach Jaxon you and your girls have made us proud of all that y'all have accomplished this year and the way you represent your school and community. As a way to show our appreciation, you and your team will be traveling to the state tournament via charter bus. Now there is someone else here that would like to present your team with another surprise."

BG walks out dressed in good jeans and a Georgia pullover. JJ looks at him and he just smiles and takes the mic from Mr Hayes. 
" Coach Jaxon as you know I have become a big fan of your team. I have watched them this year and I have seen the hard work that they have done. Some friends of mine and I would like to treat you and your team to a day at the spa to get y'all relaxed before the tournament. So tomorrow morning the charter bus will pick y'all up here and take you to the Sheraton where you will check in and have a day spent together bonding and relaxing before your game on Monday morning. I have also arranged for you a practice gym on Sunday afternoon. All meals and hotel costs have been paid for so all you girls need to do is bring your gear and clothes and go win state!"
  JJ looks at BG and she has tears in her eyes and hugs him and whispers in his ear,"Thank you baby I love you ! " . He winks at her and said," My friends thought that it would be a good idea to send y'all off with a small concert so I am going to ask them to come out now. Please make welcome Mr Thomas Rhett ,Mr Justin Moore, and Mr Jason Aldean.  As they come out the band quickly gets things set up as the team is makes there way to the bleachers.
JJ goes to all of the guys and hugs them and tells them thank you. Jason tells her"it's been too damn long girl and if I had known before now I would have been coming to watch your team. You know I was a fan of yours and just because you cut BG out didn't mean you had to cut me out of your life. Now that we have reconnected I plan on being around for a long time. Besides I want you to meet my wife Brittany." JJ said," I know there are several things I regret about leaving and losing our friendship is one of them. Sorry I wasn't there when it all fell apart. You know I don't believe in cheating but you are my friend and I love you and I cannot wait to meet your wife. I'm sure we will be great friends Jay so stop worrying. She makes you happy and that's all I care about."
       Oakley sits down by JJ and said," Coach he's a keeper just in case you didn't know."
JJ laughs," yeah he is a good one that's for sure and I am so thankful that he is mine but he's in trouble for doing this without letting me in on it"
   The whole school enjoys the free concert and they head back to their last class leaving the team and JJ with the band and guys. The team asks for pictures and they all agree. JJ tells them to go get changed for practice they had work to do. All the girls groan and head to the locker room and JJ goes to her office to change real quick. When she comes out she thanks they guys again for funding their trip to state. BG said," their idea not mine to surprise you I was gonna ask you first but they overruled me. Tomorrow y'all have massage and facials and nail appointments. And you also have a gym ready for y'all to practice anytime. Enjoy your moment with these girls make memories that will take them through their lifetime. I know telling them you are leaving is going to be hard but worry about that after you win State. Now I have to get back on the road but first I need some lovin to tide me over until I see you again."
   BG leans in and places his lips on hers softly and slowly kisses her drinking in the feel of her and him together. He pulls back trying to catch his breath and looks in her eyes and he tells her," I love you baby" JJ pulls him back down to her and kisses him using the kiss to tell him everything that she can't say and when they finally pull apart she says," I love you"

  The girls have seen the kiss and Oakley yells out," Get a room y'all" they all laugh and BG tells her that he will see her Monday but will talk to her later. She kisses him again and he walks to join his band. JJ tells the rest to her out of her gym cause they have work to do.
