"This doesn't make us anything."
Amelia's POV
"Come with me Amelia. You'll be happy, we could be unstoppable." My mother growled with a gleam in her eyes and I looked at her in uncertainty.
"I'm not sure... that life isn't for me. You kill for fun, that isn't the way it should be." I said and looked away from the crazed female. She growled softly and shook her head.
"We're trying to show the packs that rogues are not weak. We are just as strong and cunning as you, even more so." my mother said and I looked at her in bewilderment.
"You're insane." I said and she wrinkled her snout in disgust, "I am not." she growled and licked her chops.
"I'm just trying to state my case. Amelia, I love you and want us to be a family again. I want us to at least try. I want to-" she began.
"Start over?" I asked and she nodded and her tail wagged softly.
"Yes. Please?" she said and I huffed and tried to make my fur lie flat.
"Well-" I started and paused as I heard leaves crunching and heavy strides.
I turned and tensed as Knight came charging out of the woods. His black fur shimmered and his white paws and tail shown in the light. His teeth bared and I looked from him to my mother.
"Ah, who's this?" My mother said looking at Kaden and I bared my fangs.
"My... mate." I growled ignoring the way I'd involuntarily paused.
"Oh really now? The Ravenwolf Alpha. The boy who killed Alpha Axel and his whole pack, not to mention your father; son of the Blood Wolf, Alpha Clayton, and everybody's favorite Luna Katlyn?" My mother said in a mocking voice and Kaden growled darkly.
"Darling really, we both know he doesn't treat you right, all Alphas do it, come with me. We can accomplish so much, you and I, all you have to do is come." My mother said and took a step toward me.
Kaden snarled.
"Stay out of this you dog! Or I will flay you and scatter your entrails! I'm talking to my daughter, now hold your tongue!" My mother spat. Kaden bared his fangs and let out a deep gurgling growl. They glared at each other and snarled in hatred.
"What are you doing here with-who is this?" Kaden growled his wolf eyes locking on my mother.
"Don't you see the family resemblance?" My mother asked her tail flicking and sized up my mate with a wolfish grin.
"You came to get your son?" Knight growled baring his long fangs and taking a step forward.
"I came for both of my children." My mother growled and Knight huffed and puffed out his chest.
"Get your son and leave." Knight growled darkly.
Before I could say anything the two were rushing at each other and I had to quickly intervene.
I leaped in between the two quarreling wolves and grumbled threateningly.
"Stop. Both of you. I'll think about it. As of now leave." I growled. My mother looked at me and huffed before her tail fell in defeat.
"Very well, when I do come again, I'll be taking Brent as well. Bye Daughter; mutt." My mother gave Kaden one last glare before retreating into the thick of the woods and disappearing from sight.
I sighed and turned before padding away.
