"To make a woman bow to a man by force, is horrid."

Amelia's POV

I pulled away from the sheets tangling around my body and hopped off the bed.

I looked around and was relieved to see that Kaden wasn't in the room any longer.

I quickly made my way toward the door and quietly opened it. Everything seemed quiet and I started down the hall.

"Where are you going?" A voice said and I froze at it's slight familiarity. I'd heard it before.

I turned slowly to see a teenaged boy watching me with his arms crossed as he leaned against the wall. His eyes where a soft green and his hair a russet brown. He was tall with broad shoulders and a nice face, even though Kaden was far more attractive. I shook my head at the thought and the guy raised an eyebrow.

"I'm leaving." I said softly and the boy nodded.

"What are you to my Alpha?" He asked and I shrugged.

Realization hit me and I came to the conclusion it was the owner of the voice I'd heard when Kaden dragged me inside.

"I'm not sure... but I can't stay here." I growled and pity flashed in the young man's eyes.

"I'm Beta Ryan and I'm telling you it would be very unwise to run from Alpha Kaden." The boy said giving me a warning look and I scoffed.

"You gonna stop me?" I growled instantly feeling my wolf snarl inside of me.

The boy shook his head, "Whatever happens, happens; I could stop you, though I won't. But you have to be willing to face the consequences... A mad Kaden is not a good one." He said softly and I frowned.

"Okay then..." I said and tiptoed toward the door. The beta watched me in silence then he pushed himself off the wall and began toward another room.

"See you soon." He called and disappeared.

I scowled and slipped outside into the cool breeze. My wolf yipped with happiness.

Sunlight played on the horizon and I quickly abandoned my clothes and shifted into my wolf.

I instantly pelted toward the woods. My paws hit the ground hard with every stride; my legs pumped vigorously. It wasn't long before I was deep in the thick of ferns and trees then I heard it. A deep, furiously, dark howl rising up and assaulting my ears.

Shit. Shit. Shit. He knows! My wolf and I thought and I pumped my legs harder. I needed to hurry.

As I was running I heard multiple yips and barks and howls and dread crept over me. Kaden wasn't the only one after me.

I could hear the blundering of wolves behind me and the snarl of one in particular that chilled me to the bone. Dear heavens he was so angry.

It wasn't long before a furry body collided with mine and I lost my balance and tumbled. I rolled in the leaves and stood up panting staring at the large black wolf with a white tail and paws. His golden eyes glared at me and I gulped. Kaden.

He bared his long fangs at me and licked his chops in warning as his tail rose threateningly. I wrinkled my snout at his gesture and growled.

"Amelia don't be stupid. Come along." He growled and I huffed and snapped my fangs at him.

"Leave me. I'm not staying here. Fuck that." I spat gaining confidence. No way was I just going to up and leave peacefully with him. He let out a deep rumble.

"Now Amelia!" He snarled and I shook my head.

"No." I huffed and turned from them and began padding toward the border.

"Don't be a bitch." He growled and I stopped walking my fur rising along my spine in anger. I whirled around to face him. I was tired of his shit.

"I won't be one if you'd not act like one. At least I have the balls to remove myself from a situation." I quipped and stuck my nose in the air. He was fuming.

"Unless you're implying to the balls you've had in your mouth, I don't see your point." Kaden shot back and I walked stiffly over everything tense with rage.

"The only balls in my mouth would be yours after I rip them off!" I snarled in his face and swiped a paw against his snout satisfied when my claws caught him.

The Alpha snarled and leaped on top of me. I squirmed under him and kicked out my legs managing to knock him off. I yelped as he bit into my shoulder and I growled and snapped down on his leg. He whined and ripped his leg from my jaws.

His teeth buried themselves in my scruff and he tossed me aside. I clambered to my feet and bared my fangs.

"Submit to me!" My mate roared as he stalked over and I growled and licked my chops.

"Never." I retorted and howled as he bit my flank. His claws tore into my skin. I don't even know how, but somehow I got on top of him and took his neck in my jaws. He growled and tried to shake me off but I bit down harder. I didn't have his throat but more the back of his neck.

He finally managed to throw me off and I spat out the blood in my mouth. He glared at me and rushed me; barreling me over.

He held me down and bit down on my foreleg.

"Submit." He ordered and I growled softly, the alpha in me refusing. He bit harder and I couldn't contain my whine.

"Submit." He repeated and bit so hard I heard the sound of my bone splintering. A chorus of agony filled howls escaped from my and he bit harder.

"Okay okay! I submit!" I yelped and I heard a loud snap and I yowled. I looked at my foreleg in shock and pain. He broke it...

"Shift." He commanded and I obeyed crying in pain at the broken arm. Once I was fully shifted I looked back at my awkwardly bent arm and sobbed.

Kaden threw some clothes at me and I put them on. A painful and difficult task.

I'd broken bones before, but this way by far the worst... Because he did it. The one who was supposed to love me did it.

I gave him one last betrayed glance before the shock overtook me and everything exploded into black.

The last thing I remember is arms wrapping around me.
