8| Ignore It

"Ouch."

Amelia's POV

I woke up and stretched.

The room was empty all but me. Kaden had left. I shook my head softly and looked out of the window my eyes widening. Sunlight poured in through the blinds and I squinted at the brightness. How long was I asleep? When did I go back to sleep?

I made my way out of the room and slunk down the hallway. Something felt off.

I was about to go into the kitchen when suddenly the beta Ryan appeared out of nowhere. He blocked my way and gave me a wary smile.

"Hey Amelia." He said and I raised an eyebrow.

"Hey... Ryan." I said wondering why he was blocking my way.

"So how are you?" He asked and I eyed him suspiciously.

"Just hungry." I said and went to walk around him but he stopped me by grabbing my arm.

"Please don't go in there Luna." He said and I frowned and pulled away from him.

"Why not?" I asked softly looking toward the kitchen. Ryan remained silent and bowed his head.

I rolled my eyes yet I was tense and my wolf growled as I went into the kitchen.

I paused at the scene in front of me, not really sure how to react.

He was letting some tramp sit on his lap while he whispered something in her ear. And it wasn't just any tramp, it was Amy.

What was she doing here? She wasn't even part of this pack!

I felt my fists clench and my nails elongated into claws. My claws dug into my skin and I let the pain calm me. Murder was not the answer.

"Where's the food at?" I asked and the two looked at me. Amy glared whereas Kaden rolled his eyes.

"Look for it." He growled and I scoffed. He looked back to Amy as she kissed his neck and a genuine smile graced his face as he gazed at her. I felt my heart twist but I shook my head and went to the refrigerator.

I grabbed some slices of cold pizza and turned around gagging inwardly as I witnessed the two kissing. It was horrendous lip and tongue battle and I felt my stomach heave.

Kill them! My wolf spat but I held myself back. I was too hungry for violence right now.

I tried to calm myself and took a bite of my pizza. At the same time the bitch moaned and I in took a breath as I tried to hold in my rage. Unfortunately my gasp for air caused me to nearly inhale the pizza in my mouth.

I coughed loudly trying to get rid of the blockage. After a few moments I got a hold of myself and wiped the tears from my eyes.

"Oh shit..." I growled softly and swallowed. I glanced at the pizza still in my hand and sighed. I'm glad I hadn't dropped it.

"That was disgusting." I looked up at Amy's voice and scowled.

"I was chocking dumbass." I growled and she gasped her blue eyes widening.

"Watch who you're talking to." Amy hissed and I cocked an eyebrow. My head nodded lazily.

"Oh I'm sorry. I don't know why I didn't remember chocking was a sensitive topic for you: after all you've choked so many times. I'll never understand why a girl would brag about how many dicks she's had in her mouth." I said and Amy frowned. Then she smirked and leaned against Kaden and I felt my heart jolt.

"Well one man is perfectly fine with my chocking, right baby?" Amy said cuddling up to Kaden. My mate tensed and shot me a glance. His eyes were cold and held a weird look to them.

Anger and betrayal rushed through me.

"That's fantastic. Just great." I growled and bit into the pizza before walking away. I figured I'd've cried but I didn't all I felt was anger and disgust.

He'll kiss the whore and let her suck his damn dick, but we even blink and it's a big ass problem? What type of fucked up shit is that? He's our mate not hers! My wolf snarled and I growled in agreement.

I huffed and finished off the pizza before going outside. I was pacing around silent tears ran down my face as I growled in rage. I was still going when I heard footsteps coming my way. I glanced over and was surprised to see Ryan with a sympathetic look.

"I'm sorry Amelia... I told him not to, but he's Alpha." He said with a soft frown as if recalling the conversation.

"Ryan, if you find your mate... Promise me you'll love her." I said softly and looked to the sky. I swallowed the phlegm in my throat and sighed.

"I wouldn't dream of not loving her." Ryan growled suddenly then rubbed the back of his neck.

"I'm sorry." He sighed and I chuckled bitterly.

"It's alright Ryan. You know what? I'm almost used to my fucked up existence... One day my life will find peace and I'll be happy, today's just not that day." I said and more tears escaped my eyes and my throat tightened.

"Luna--" he began and I cut him off with a growl.

"Please just leave me... I have to think." I whispered. My anger was fading and being replaced with utterly, torturous sadness.

"I'll be close by if you need me." Ryan said softly laying his warm hand on my shoulder before he walked away.

I watched him go before going back to my pacing. Back and forth.

Back and forth.

I'll admit this chapter is kind of on the short side

Kaden... is too much.

My Amelia is a strong girl though.
