"He was her knight in shining armor."

Amelia's POV

I woke up to the dinging of my phone and I sleepily grabbed it and looked at the text.

I'm here.

I jumped out of bed and began going towards the stairs.

I hurried down the flight of stairs and went to the front door but paused when I heard my mate's rough voice.

"What are you doing here?" Kaden growled darkly and I went around the corner to look. Noah stood straighter and gave a threatening glare to my mate who stood in the doorway looking out at him. The lone wolf's eyes flickered to me.

"I'm takin' her out for a bit." Noah nodded to me and Kaden turned to catch sight of me.

"No; you're just leaving." The Alpha retorted whirling around back to him and Noah raised an eyebrow.

"I don't think I asked for your input. Did I? I'm not here to talk to you, I'm here for Amelia. She called me." Noah said and Kaden's eyes snapped to me. I swallowed softly and stepped around my mate and to Noah's awaiting arms. The man hugged me tight and pulled back before studying me.

"Did he hurt you?" Noah questioned and I shrugged.

"It doesn't matter, can we just go?" I said softly and Kaden growled.

"Amelia, you're not going with him." He spat and pulled me away from the man. I crashed into my mate's chest and he put me behind him.

"Get out of my house." Kaden snapped at Noah and the lone wolf frowned.

"I'm not in your house. This is the porch. Can't we talk like civilized people?" Noah asked and Kaden growled softly.

"I guess that's a no. Well if I'm being real, fuck you man. You're nothing but a little bitch." Noah said and Kaden started toward the lone man whom raised an eyebrow.

"Kaden stop it, I'm leaving." I stepped in between the two and grabbed Noah's hand.

"Let's go." I said and he shot Kaden a look before we walked away.

Noah and I pretty much walked around town. He stayed by my side the whole while and cheered me up.

Presently he was ranting about why I should leave Kaden for him. I watched him as he talked and felt a tug at my heart. The streetlights highlighted his face, his eyes glowed; he was beautiful. A soft smile tugged at my lips.

"Amelia I won't stop until you give me a chance. I'll try and try and try again." Noah said and I looked into his glorious brown eyes.

I don't know what came over me.

I threw myself at him and smashed my lips on his. The kiss quickly filled with fervor and I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Noah... I love you." I breathed and Noah smiled and kissed my lips softly.

"I love you more." He growled and deepened the kiss...

Noah dropped me back off at the pack house and I yelped when he grabbed my butt as I walked up toward the front porch.

"Noah." I gasped glancing at him and hitting his shoulder. He smirked and winked at me. A blush rushed to my cheeks.

"See ya later baby. Call me if you need me." He said and I nodded softly before walking up to the porch. Noah gave a wolf whistle and I shot him a look.

"Stop." I said but a smile forced its way onto my face. The man grinned and climbed into his car.

The door opened before I could knock and Kaden glared past me. He watched as Noah drove away and only when he was out of sight did he let me in and shut the door.

I avoided his eyes and moved around him before making the journey to my room.

After some time, Kaden came into the room. The door shut behind him and he leaned against it, his arms crossing over his chest, as he stared at me. I gazed back at him and he took in a deep breath before blowing it out. His eyes settled on my face.

"So what'd you do?" Kaden asked and I shrugged.

"Nothing." I breathed and started feeling strange.

"Bullshit. You smell like that dog." Kaden huffed and looked me over.

"So what?" I shot back and the Alpha growled softly before running a hand through his hair.

He let out a sigh and his eyes met mine. Without a word he walked towards me and grabbed me by the shoulders before tugging me to him and capturing my lips with his. My eyes closed as he let go and caressed my face. The kiss was a mixture of aggravation and longing. Kaden growled softly and quickly deepened the kiss.

My fingers found his soft hair and the Alpha growled in approval as I tugged it gently. One of his hands slid to my waist and pulled me roughly against him so my body was pressed to his.

We kissed like that for some time.

"Stop." Kaden growled abruptly pulling away and Rain whimpered. My wolf ducked her head and whined at our mate's words.

"Don't test me Amelia; bring that mutt over here again and he's dead." Kaden growled his eyes glinting with anger.

"Why? Why do you even care?" I asked and he frowned.

"This is my house and you are my mate and I'll be damned if some mutt thinks he can come here anytime he feels like it!" Kaden snarled.

I looked away from him but couldn't ignore the feeling bubbling up inside of me.

I could feel the desire filling up my body and the air around me grew thick with its smell.

My heat had came.

Kaden sniffed the air and gave me a surprised look before frowning and walking toward the window. His eyes darkened as he fumbled with the lock before opening the window and taking in deep breaths of the fresh outdoor air. His eyes slowly went back to their golden glow and then he gave me a glare.

"I know you kissed him." I felt my heart stutter at his words.

"Keep that window open." He said and without another word he turned and marched out of the room slamming the door on the way out.

I felt my lips gingerly with my fingers and another rush went through me.
