72| Kisses & Misses

"Caring hurt."

Amelia's POV

"You're not really considering it are you?" Kaden said catching up to me. He'd brought some clothes and we'd changed and dressed and were currently on our way to the pack house.

"Considering what?" I said not looking at him.

"Going with her." Kaden huffed and I shrugged. He suddenly grabbed my arm and turned me to him. He studied me his eyes looking over my face with a frown.

"What?" I sighed getting fed up of him staring at me.

"Why would you?" His voice was harsh when he said it.

"Why not Kaden? She was right, you don't treat me well. Maybe it's for the best." I said and shrugged out of his hold.

"But that doesn't mean you abandon the pack to become a rogue." The alpha growled and I looked away from him.

"You abandoned me Kaden. I'm your mate, but you don't care about me... and if I do leave the pack will still have their Alpha to lead them." I said softly.

Silence raged on and the wind blew between us. I gazed forward and did my best to ignore the man to the side of me.

"I... I." Kaden began, but didn't say anything and I scoffed and started walking faster to get away from him. I could feel my heart starting to chip again and I hated that I loved him so much.

"Amelia wait." Kaden said and caught up to me.

"You can't leave." He said and I glanced at him sideways.

"You don't tell me what I can and can't do." I huffed and looked away from him.

"But we're mates..." Kaden said and I halted. He stopped at well and I whirled around to face him. How dare he pull the mate card now?

Something inside me snapped.

"You don't even love me!" I screamed.

Kaden frowned and opened his mouth to say something, but before he could I barged past him and started marching away.

"You never loved me! It was always her! Just let me go already! Reject me!" I cried and felt my heart breaking; or maybe it was both of ours, but I doubt it. I whimpered as he followed me and turned me around to face him. Kaden scowled and grabbed my shoulders. His eyes met mine and his golden irises were shadowed.

"I'm not rejecting you!" Kaden growled and I scoffed as tears ran down my face. I shook my head and looked down toward the ground. Breath blew rapidly from my lips as I tried to stop myself from crying more.

"Forget about Emma then!" I sobbed and the alpha pulled my body against his.

"You're a selfish asshole! I'm not going to stand by your side while you fantasize about some girl." I growled, hurt coating my words.

"I can't.... She was my first. I loved her... Stop crying, Amelia." Kaden said and hugged me tight.

Stop crying? Stop crying?! What was that supposed to make us feel better?! Rain growled. I sobbed into his chest and his hands rubbed my back.

"You know what? Fuck all this bullshit come here." He said and grabbed my face before smashing his lips against mine.

He's kissing us. Move away Amelia. This isn't right. He doesn't deserve to kiss us. Rain growled, but I couldn't pull away.

The kiss tasted of tears and he pulled me to him, not letting go.

"I'm not trying to hurt you." Kaden sighed and kissed me harder as if to prove it.

Maybe he can be forgiven... Rain said after a few moments.

My hands pressed against his chest and I was unsure whether to push him away or pull him closer. Finally, I broke the kiss.

Mark him again. Rain growled suddenly. I felt my canines elongating as he kissed me again.

It will make the bond even stronger. My wolf said and thumped her tail.

I went to do just that and Kaden pushed me back with a warning growl. Enraged Rain bared her teeth and crouched low wanting to pounce on the idiot Alpha.

He won't let us mark him? Of course! He just used us AGAIN, I don't understand why he does this to us! We love him, why does he toy with us?! My wolf howled in anguish and whimpered softly.

"You won't let me mark you again. You won't let us be full mates. I can't do this, fuck you." I spat and whirled around before shifting, grabbing the clothes, and forcing Rain to run towards the woods instead of attacking our mate like she wanted to.

"Amelia!" Kaden's voice called after me, but I ignored him and pushed on.
