Chapter 2 (Irene)-

This is it, I was finally arriving in Mistral! I couldn't wait! The city looked so beautiful just from the window. Atlas didn't hold a candle to this place! Oh, but I hadn't even reached star destination: Haven Academy! There was no other school where I would wish to begin my training as a huntress. Well, real training. I was sure this would be a noticeable step above Basic combat school, no more dull weapon forms, or repetitive simulations. This; this was the real deal.

But the true colors were in the school. It's majesty was beautiful in a way that all the other continents didn't have. The reason I chose here instead of any other place. It's collaborated construction proved all cultures had a place here. Unity. That is the reason humanity had gotten so far.

"Irene!" I heard Mom cry from somewhere in the ship.

"Yes?" I replied a bit annoyed.

"We're about to land, please come and sit with me and your father."

I replied. I took one last glance over my shoulder of the cityscape. My new home, I thought to myself.

My blue eyes reflected back at me from the window I glanced longingly before deciding to get up. My black hair was how it usually was; up in a high ponytail, which was what I was most comfortable with; It was raised a bit above my head. My sister always described it as a "hair fountain." I had a gray over-shirt with a black shirt under that. My black combat boots matched my pants that were tucked in to them. My pants were kind of resembled from skinny jeans but still left enough room for me to move as freely as I wished.

I walked through the airship's storage room which had some vehicles and a few other things in it. I found my way to the pilots room where my parents sat in their twin Captain's chairs which were elevated to look high and mighty above the two pilots who worked the controls.

"Ahh Irene, there you are. Please, have a seat," said my mother; very royal like. I sat in the right of the two seats right in front (and slightly below) theirs. The other one was normally where my sister sat but she was already at Atlas academy. Shame she wanted to stick with Atlas so bad. Then again, I'd be a hypocrite if I criticized her since I was stuck on going to Haven.

"Is there...Something you wanted to ask me?" I said facing the front window since I'd have to sit in an awkward position to face them. Dad began to speak in his typical puffed voice.

"Are you certain you want to go to this, Haven academy; if you'd like I can still register you for Atlas-" I cut him off and turned around to face him.

"Dad, I know you're bent on me going to Atlas, but this is what I really want. I know it'll be hard being so far away from family but I promise to call you every evening and tell you how it's going down here."

"Alright my dear," said Dad sounding more relaxed. "Only because you want it so bad, but do be careful around... unsavory types," he said in a lower voice. He of course meant Fanus, the people with the traits of certain animals. I've never actually met one though, my parents always stress to me how they're all vile, and burn things down to get what they want. However, I find it difficult to believe they're all that indecent.

"Sir and Madame, we're about to be docking at Haven's landing Pad," spoke our main pilot, an older man with a grey mustache named Jeff.

We are? I thought, I had all but forgotten how close we were. I darted my eyes forward and saw the school; a towering building with a clear area around it. It was even larger than I expected! I waited impatiently as the pilots went through procedure and landed the ship.

"Annnnd, We've touched ground," spoke our co-pilot, a newer guy in his twenties named Jim. I felt the ship softly touch the ground with a minor bump.
