Aftermath-

Chapter 28 (Irene)-

"Axi! Don't let them kill each other! And don't let the grimm get them either!" I ordered as I stuck my blade down a beowulf's skull.

"Doing my best, just keep them off of me!" Axi called back as he scoped a grimm down below. This entire battle was mayhem, All three of our teams spread out and the grimm just keep coming!

"Irene! How are they on your end?" Eve yelled as she teleported onto the head of an ursa.

"We're still getting a ton of heat!" I said as I turned my blades into machine gun form. TUTUTTUTU! I managed to knock down three with one clip, but they were endless! Leo and Nevada covered the path back to haven while Alyce and Polina tried to take down as many of the ones charging us from the woods as they could. Everyone else just tried to take the remaining out while I guarded Axi, who was protecting our two friends that had turned into giant beasts. Oh, and Claren just randomly disappeared before the fighting! She better have been getting help!

"Uh hey, I got good news and bad news!" Axi yelled out.

"What could possibly be worse in a situation like this?" Alyce questioned as she slung a creep around by her extendable headphones.

"Well, good news ! Scav and Layric are humans again and they're unconscious; bad news is Scav and Layric are human again and they're unconscious...around hordes of grimm!" He yelled as he picked off as many as he could.

"Crap! Someone needs to get down there, ASAP!" Eve demanded.

"I'm on it!" Linena said as she extended her angelic white wings.

"Take me down with you!" Eve ordered as she broke into flight. Linena swooped Eve off the ground as she began to pick up speed.

I continued my fight on the high grounds with Franck and Ecru by my side. We warded off the grimm for what felt like hours, creating what I'm sure looked like smoke from a forest fire do to the dissolving corpses.

"AHHHH!" I shouted as I cut the throat of what appeared to be the last grimm in sight. I collapsed to my knees panting, looking around I see everyone else is in an equal or worse state than I. Axi was on his back breathing heavily while Ecru leaned against a rock gripping his right side with his human hand.

"Well.... That was fucked," He said between breaths as he looked over to me and Axi.

"I'm gonna sleep. Take a nap forever, if that's alright," Axi groaned. still lying on his back near the ledge. Leo, Nevada, and Alyce seemed to be alright for the most part, but Franck was leaned against a mound of dirt with a lot of blood on his forehead.

"Hey, least it wasn't my own flail this time," he weakly laughed as Alyce tried wrapping a piece of torn cloth around his head.

"Shit, Scav and Layric!" I suddenly remembered, I stood up and ushered my way near the edge by Axi. Axi sluggishly sat up, looking down with me. From the looks of it they were still alive, though badly injured. I couldn't see the details from all the way up thid high, but they both seemed to be unmoving and drenched in blood. Linena suddenly flew up from the slope of the cliff, caring my sister.

"They're both breathing but they really messed each other up," Eve reported as she was dropped off.

"I'm going to fly back down there and keep watch on them," Linena said as she flew back down the drop.

"Where the hell was our backup?" Ecru said, slamming his fist on the ground before re-gripping his blood-soaked top. "Ah! damn creep snuck up on me from behind." Just as he finished speaking, an airship came into view from over the tree line. Bit late, but we could use the ride out of here.

The ship immediately lowered into the pit were Linena seemed to be waving them down. Not a minute later did they hover up to us with open doors, and with that we were heading towards our safe Haven.
