Chapter 21 (Axi)-

I woke up the next morning feeling pretty well rested. I remembered the day before and smiled at the memory. I wasn't too familiar with the feeling of fun, but I liked it! I propped my head up and saw that Irene was already up.

"Morning!" I said cheerfully.

"Morning," She said, "I was about to get you up. Class in twenty," I grunted, remembering that we had school. And not the fun classes where you got to learn by experience. The boring lecture classes were the ones we had.

"Didn't we sign up for terminal tech for first period?" I heard Layric. I looked over and noticed that they were already up and ready too. I was the last one up. They were all in their black collared shirts that was trimmed with white on the seam of where it opened in the front with plain black pants...I sighed at the sight of the school uniforms. Layric and Scav were standing uncomfortably. I was sure they hated the uniforms as much as I did. Irene, on the other hand; looked at least somewhat comfortable. She had gray knee-high socks with a black and white checkered skirt. Her shoes were like slippers; easy to slip on. Her shirt was the same thing us guys were wearing.

"Yeah, that's right. Something even more boring than History," Irene rolled her eyes. I looked at her like she was insane. I actually like history!

"Axi, go get dressed. Then we can have breakfast before class," Irene pointed at the bathroom door. I looked at the foot of my bed and saw my outfit. I reluctantly nodded and grabbed my clothes, going into the bathroom to change. A moment later, I opened the door to find no one there. They left me...great. I lazily headed for the dorm room and opened it.

"HOLY-" I shouted in surprise. A girl was waiting for me, not leaving even an inch from my face to hers. Was she just resting her head against the door the whole entire time?

"Hey, Axi right?" She said in what sounded like a normal voice. It surprised me because I was expecting a crazy psycho voice.

"Yeah..." I realized who it was. The girl with an obsession over me and my hat. Speaking of my hat, she had it!

"Oh, this? You can have it," She said holding it in front of my face. I went to grab it but she yanked her hand back, out of my reach.

"On one condition," She looked me in the eyes. My face flushed, realizing what she was talking about.

"No no no," I whispered.

"Oh yeah," She smirked, "Go on a date with me."

"You're joking. Damnit Scav!" I cursed. I knew he set me up. I glanced down the halls to see if we created an audience.

"Fine!" I said in a strict tone after deciding the it was safe from anyone seeing while snatching my hat from her. I headed for the canteen (eating area).

"Don't you dare ditch me! I know where you live!" She called after me from down the hall. Was that last part a threat, I wondered.

I found my team with food stuffed in their mouths and Scav with a dumb grin on his face.

"I see you've met your girlfriend," He indicated my hat.

"Not my girlfriend," I stared at him.

"When's your date?" He raised an eyebrow, which earned him a giggle from Irene.

I sighed and mumbled, "Haven't set one up yet."

"Well now's your chance. She's coming right this way!" He looked over my shoulder. I didn't dare look in fear of her noticing me, even though I already know she did.
