Pizza and Friends-

Chapter 20 (Scav)-

The truck stopped suddenly followed by a, "We're here!" when Garrett slammed on the breaks.

"Ow!" I heard Irene yelp as her head slammed into the seat in front of her. She looked angrily at Garret while rubbing her forehead.

"Smooth." Layric said as he opened the door and hopped out. I did the same, sliding over the edge of the truck and landing beside him.

"So uh, what now?" Garrett shrugged as everyone got out of the car.

"Where's the nearest ghetto? We'll drop you off there," I half-joked.

'Yeah uh-uh, funny, I think I'll actually be fine from here, I'm taking a train out of this citty and I'm laying low for awhile, you know how to contact me, should you need me again," He said, looking at me and Layric before jogging off.

"He jogs?" I said, faking bewilderment.

"Well, there he goes," Axi said, waving him off, "So ummmm...Team lunch?" he said with a half shrug.

"You know what, I'm actually down for that." Layric said light heartedly. Irene rolled her eyes in response but agreed.

"Screw it, where to?" I agreed.

"Oh right, none of us are from here," Axi said.

"We are at a school full of locals. Let's just ask them?" Irene suggested.

"We might run into your new boyfriends, are you sure you want to go in there?" Scav laughed.

"Oh shut up, I told them off as nicely as I could, did you tell them to do that just to aggravate me?" She asked with crossed arms.

"Well what happened was, we were moving the tree when they threw a rock at Scav's head. I was ready to let him beat the daylight out of them when, he figured out who they were and told them to go for it sarcastically, but they apparently lack a couple of brain cells because they didn't detect the sarcasm and went took his word for it." Layric explained

"Wow, you have never said that many words in a single sentence!" Axi joked.

"Gotta agree with that," Irene semi laughed.

"A man who speaks less, is listened to more," Layric exclaimed.

"Tell that to Scav," Axi said, pointing his thumb at me.

"I got another quote: 'Beating the shit out of idiots speaks louder than fucking words,'" I said, putting my hands forward.

"I actually think the quote goes 'actions speak louder than words,' but that works too," Axi said.

"Aren't the friendly conversations supposed to happen once we get to the restaurant." Layric joked.

"Good point, where to then?" Irene shrugged, still looking a bit untempered.

"Let's just head for the city and look around," Axi suggested.

"Back in the truck then, I'm driving this time so we don't get in an accident." I said as I moved to the driver's seat.

"How you two meet anyways?" Irene asked.

"I'll sum it up in seven words: Grimm, Fist fight, More grimm, and goliath implosion," Layric said

"Sounds about right." I said as I pulled the car back onto the main road.

"Okay, you just made me wanna hear the full story," Axi said.
