Chapter 12 (Irene)-
"Hey, princess! Next time warn me next time you're going to hurl an exploding ball of death at me," Scav said with anger in a grainy voice.
I sighed; I couldn't believe this guy, Being such a jerk after we just won! I scowled at him and exhaled, "It was a strength boost orb you ID-I-OT! Your partner in crime just broke my concentration when he decided to jump in it! And typically, when I lose concentration, boom! Mistakes happen, get over it!"
"Just like a spoiled brat, blaming others for your mistakes," he scolded, stepping too close for comfort.
"Why are you being like this? Why are you criticizing me so much! If it weren't for me, you'd still be lying on the ground, unable to get up like humpty-dumpty!" I said, pointing my finger at his chest.
"I don't think you understand what I'm capable of when I'm a fucking rhino! Not much can hurt me," he scolded, almost yelling in my face. For effect he slammed a fist against his chest.
"Ummm, there appears to be some...complications on the stage between the two winners," the announcer said sounding extremely confused and a bit amused. I ignored him.
"Really now? You're just invincible to everything aren't you, you falling on your back earlier sure doesn't help that case! And if you're semblance is soooo strong! Why are you afraid of my orbs?" I yell back, my words full of acid. I looked him back in the eye, not backing down.
"Being invincible does not mean you can't get knocked down that's being immovable," he half yelled, his eyes starting to flicker flames again. He then started to walk away.
"Ohhh, my apologies! And you have the nerve to call me princess!" I exclaimed.
"How about you shut up before you get hurt," he said calmly without looking back, still walking away.
My eyebrow started twitching after he said that. Ugh, his nerve... "So you seriously think you can't be taken down? I'd be happy to slap you into reality, RHINO BOY!" I said as my voice snapped into a yell. At this point I noticed the silence from the announcers. They wanted a show! I gave a half smile; the tension amusing me, then remembered Scav.
"Go ahead and try," he said calmly, shrinking back down to normal.
"I see what you're trying to do, make me strike first, so I look like the bad guy! Sorry, you're not as smart as you think."
"You don't need me to make you look like the bad guy your family did that for you the second they joined the schnee dust company! Why did you come here in the city with the second largest faunus population?" he said with a devilish smile.
My eyes widened with anger; he had to be the most irritating person I've ever spoken to! "Right. You're Mr. Morals aren't you? Didn't you do illegal mercenary work for my dad, a member of the company you hate? You place your greed above your beliefs, and there is nothing lower than that!"
"The only thing I believe in is people are scumbags and the truth is we were sent by the white fang to kill your dad then we were going to kill our contractor to get rid of two corrupt leaders. The money is just an added bonus ," he retorted back at me with a truthful tone.
"You...Slimy, worthless, piece of filth!" I screamed at him and drew my weapon. I could hear it in his voice, he was being truthful about it, and he was proud!
I drew my weapons which made him tense and without thinking swung; which probably was a mistake. My anger caused me to attack without a pattern. He put his foot out just as I was stepping forward for my swing and I went tumbling to the ground with a grunt, my wakizashi flinging away from me. I kept trying however, swinging my katana at his legs. He was quick though. He grabbed my arm, twisting it in a way that forced my hand to drop it and kicked it out of my reach.
