All downhill-

  Chapter 26 (Layric)-

Cold air filled the room as I awoke; guess someone left the window open, doesn't really matter though; I like the cold.

I pushed my hair out of my eyes and looked around the room, Irene was still out and Scav seemed to be just waking up aswell but Axi seemed to be out of the room, wonder where he ambled off to.

I stood up and cracked my shoulders as I walked over to the shower, which I hadn't used too much prior to last month, hot water really is nice to have on hand.

I stood there, letting the hot water run down my back and down my face for awhile before drying myself and getting dressed in my black school uniform before opening the bathroom door.

Scav stood in center of the room, buttoning up his uniform jacket, and Irene still asleep.

"You were in there for awhile," he said, giving me a weird look.

"What?" I replied with confusion.

"You were just in there for a long time," he said as he folded his sleeves.

"What are you implying?" I asked getting annoyed.

"Nothing, but hey we better go get breakfast, we'll need the energy for later today, and I think I saw dumbass heading out when I was half awake, he's probably there," He explained as he grabbed his hat from his bedside counter.

"Sure, we should wake her up though, give her the entire hour she needs to get ready," I said as I rolled my eyes.

Scav just looked at me with a grin, then he ran past me and jumped on the foot of Irene's bed, causing her to yelp awoke her suddenly and bounced a foot into the air before falling back down.

"Uhhh... I hate both of you..." she muttered as she put a pillow over her head.

"Just meet us at breakfast, princess," Scav laughed as he jogged out the door.

"Big day today," I added before following him out the door. Scav and I walked down the stairs and out of the dorm house door.

"Taking a liking to her now?" I asked.

"You're late to the party, I feel I can trust her and Axi, unless I'm going hat shopping with the guy," Scav joked. Screw it, not even gonna argue against the hat debate anymore.

"Hmm, I've always had a good feeling about the two, wonder what Axi's semblance is though?" I said as we entered the main building.

"Psh, I wonder what yours is, Layric."

"Ha, you never revealed yours until initiation, I'll have to surprise you sometime," I laughed as we pushed open the cafeteria doors. I spotted Axi hanging around our table with members of EPLN and FAEL. Scav and I grabbed ourselves trays of food before heading over to the group, who was laughing and throwing pieces of bread at each other.

"Yo! Layric, Scav, What's up?" Axi tilted his head towards us with a mouth full of food.

"Not Irene," Scav said almost dryly as he sat down.

"Ugh, she's always been such a lazy butt in the mornings!" Eve exclaimed as she swallowed a piece of bacon.

"No, you just get up way too early," Leo pointed at her with bags under his eyes. Nevada sat silently stabbing his food with a knife; he seemed pretty upset about losing to both our teams, though I can't say I blame him; has to be humiliating. At least the rest of his team didn't seem to care too much.
