Rock Bottom-

Chapter 27 (Layric)-

"What, how's that possible?" Axi said while gripping the edge of his hat like he was scared someone would take it. Suddenly, all the clam confusion ended when Scav began growing and turning grey.

"Shit, everyone get back!" I yelled as I sheathed my weapon and bolted for the door. Scav had told me sometime over the past month what happens if he ever completes his transformation, he loses complete control.

"Everyone evacuate the area!" The dueling professor called out through the mic. Students began screaming and running out the front door, but I stopped right as I reached the exit...I had to see what would happen.

Scavenger seemed to be awake, he was screaming in apparent agony as he got larger and grew horns. This isn't going to end well.

About a minute into the transformation, only Team's FAEL, EPLN, and SALI remained, along with Claren.

"So you got any idea what's goin' on here?" Nevada said as he eyed down the deep wailing Scav.

"He's just turning into a giant rhino with an unnatural lust for killing," I explained in a surprisingly calm tone, earning me a few odd looks.

"Well, fuck," Franck said what we all thought.

So we're screwed, right?" Axi looked at me like he expected me to answer that.

I looked down to see that it was happening; his fingers were meldinng together and his face began completely morphing into that of a rhinos.

The grey armoured beast with Scav's fiery eyes wrangled it's legs so it stood the height of a small building.

"First things first, we gotta lure him out of the school," Claren stated like she was making plans for coffee.

"FUCKING RUN!" Ecru ordered as we made for the door. As the 13 of us darted through the door, the entire wall exploded, sending debris flying and students running.

"Teams SALI, EPLN, and FAEL, lead the beast out the northern exit and make it follow you to the colossal crater just outside the city!" Claren seemed to say within our minds.

"I know where that is!" Poly called out as she formed into her mec suit.

"Follow the robot!" Axi declared as he pointed towards her as we ran on.

After busting through multiple walls and making it outside the building, we eventually made it into the forest and found the giant crater site. Basically, it was a gaping sinkhole in the ground that made for a perfect cage fight against two titans, which gave me a dangerous idea that might not even work.

Shit! My feet skidded to a stop as I nearly ran off the very edge of the drop. Linena skidded beside me and stopped herself by grabbing my shoulder.

"Whoa, that's quite the fall," she said as she gazed down.

"Where'd everyone else go!" I questioned as I scanned the area and seeing no one, except.... Axi!

He was standing on a ledge a little further out waving his arms and yelling something.

"Have any clue what he's saying?" Linena asked. I squinted my eyes, and I scarcely saw could make out his lips reading: 'run.'

I turned around just as I heard the earth shattering footsteps of a giant rhino. I didn't think, I just grabbed linena with one arm and pushed us both off the edge.

We fell through the sky, with a whale sized rhino stumbling down after us. Shit, what now? I didn't think this one through.

As we plummeted through the air Linena wrapped her arms around my waist and we suddenly began moving forward; falling at a diagonal angle. What the hell?
