 Chapter 43 (Scav)-

I followed the sound of rustling coming from the woods, not looking back at the cave I was stuck in, but instead moving as far away as I could from it.

I got to the spot in the thin formation of trees; not thick enough to be a forest, and saw nothing. Was I being watched? I looked around and saw nothing out of the ordinary. We were in kind of a mix terrain of mountains and forest. The ground had random patches of rock.

I recognized it as a mine from my times in the White Fang. What the hell was I doing at a mine? I followed the path that took me closer to thicker woods, for that would seemingly bring me to the housing of the miners.

As I made my way there I followed the sun to keep track of time. At this point; I had to have been walking for three hours. And without incident, too! How fucking far back did they put me?

I continued down my path and started wondering if I was even going in the right direction. I looked back and was instantly pounced on by grimm.

"What the hell!" I exclaimed as I rolled out of the way by instinct. I popped up and sprung myself in the air; waiting just enough time for the thing to get under me. I stomped on it and it popped into dust. I scanned the area for more grimm. I saw a pack of them but they were keeping their distance...this wasn't right. I must have been near whoever those freaks who kidnapped me. As I walked I was more on edge but didn't poach any of the packs. Man, I wish I had my weapon. This was becoming annoying. First I was trapped; now I was free but on the verge of constant attack, and without my weapon at that! Not to mention, I had no clue where I was or where I was going. And they always say, 'how can my day get any worse?' Yeah, I wasn't risking that.

I looked up to see dark clouds starting to form above me.

"What the fuck!" I spread my arms in defeat. Well, if there were any time for someone to find me it'd be now! Literally, anyone would be nice.

As I walked I started thinking about what the school was doing. Were they worried for me? When were they supposed to leave for Atlas? I hoped soon, that way Axi would somehow accidentally find me. His luck always sucked so it'd be him who'd accidentally find me.

Eve entered my mind as the first rain drops started falling. I hoped she was okay. Even though I knew I was the one that should be worried for; I still felt worried for her. It was...a weird feeling; but a good one. It was all new to me, but I knew it was right.

I continued down the path with my thoughts until I was suddenly interrupted by a sound over head. An airship- supply ship from the looks of it, passed by me. My jaw practically dropped to the floor when I realized, It was flying low and going in the opposite direction of me. I closed my eyes and took a breath; I had to turn around. I let out my steam by punching a nearby tree which left a major indention in it. I fumed my way in the other direction; this time to the city. Well. This was certainly a journey!
