RWBY (Salem: Dawn)

Taking it easy-

 Chapter 32 (Axi)-

"You know, we're going to have to redo our match some day," Ecru looked at me from over the table. We were at lunch and it, at that point, has only been two days since Scav woke up. Linena told me this morning that Layric was awake now. I planned to go visit him soon.

"Yeah, but we're clearly going to win," Irene said from next to me.

"I don't think so!" Alyce flared her eyes at us.

"Just you wait," I smiled mischievously at them. I still hadn't used my semblance yet. Maybe this match would give me an excuse to finally show it off. But then I remembered what Claren told me...well, if I can't use it, there's no reason not to make them think that I can use it.

"What's so funny?" Franck asked.

"You, my good sir, will just have to wait and see," I said as I finished my taco. He looked at me sideways as if trying to figure out what I was talking about.

"Guess so," Linena said, "Buuut, if I had a guess, I'd say it has something to do with your semblance."

"No fair!" I crossed my arms. How was she so smart? To be fair, I wasn't that bright so maybe she could read me easily.

"Well, good luck to you and your team," She said with an edge. I could never tell if she was being snarky or polite. Maybe she was being both at once?

"Yeah, you too," I said as the bell rang. I got up and followed Irene to our next class, but was stopped halfway by Alyce.

"Heyy Axi!" She backed me to a wall. This was even worse than being cornered by grimm. At least then I could fight my way out.

"Hey Alyce! What's up?"

"Nothing! I definitely wasn't following you!" She looked around as if afraid someone would hear her.

"Riiight. That wasn't obvious. I meant, why are you following me?"

"Well, did you actually enjoy that movie with Jennifer Mopez?" She asked me seriously.

I thought about it. To be honest, the movie wasn't half bad. Neither was Alyce, actually. For once she actually shut up and was her normal self, which I actually liked. But now she was being obnoxious. Again.

"Yeah, I had fun," I admitted.

"Good. Thanks, that's it. Now get to class before you're late! People'll start talking," She winked. I looked around and noticed a crowd of girls watching us. I hurried to my class right before the bell rang.

"Mr. Delfex," The professor said. It was Garrett.

"Yap!" I said catching my breath.

"Why were you late to my class?" He said after I sat down.

"Wasn't, Mr.Nhor. I arrived before the bell," I kicked my feet up. It was always fun messing with him.

He rolled his eyes, "Anyways, class. Can someone remind me where we left off from yesterday?" The rest of the class we just talked about the science of terminals and what models go best with what. Basically review from what we learned from the whole quarter.

"What'd she want?" Irene asked me after class.

I shrugged, "She asked me what I thought of the movie," I told her.

"And?"

"And what?"

"What'd you tell her?"
