   Chapter 11 (Axi)-

I ignored the castors, because they were getting annoying at this point.

"Wow. You've got to be freaking kidding me. Had to grow taller, didn't you!" I looked down and shook my head. Hope this Layric guy's got a good semblance, Mine won't be of much use in this fight. Mainly because I wasn't allowed to use it. When Claren whisperd to me; she specifically asked me not to use it for some reason.

"Hm. Figures," Layric mumbled. I backed away from the middle of the arena, letting Layric have all the agro. I transform my Halberd to my sniper, lining up the sights.

"Well buddy, hats off to you!" I say in a serious tone, letting the bullet fly. I hit my mark, literally ripping off the Rhino's hat! The oversized hat (his hat and armor grew with him somehow) with a smoking hole in it as it parachuted to the floor, "Well, at least you look...more decent?" I further derided as he combed his black hair in denial. He looked silly beforehand, but without the complete set, it was ridiculously funny!

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" the thing bellowed and started to become larger and more like a rhino; every passing second the fire in his eye became more intense. I was sure I'd incinerate if I were anywhere near them! The thing began to charge me head first and within seconds he backfists me in an arc to the direction he charged from. I managed to land myself with a skidding stop towards the edge.

"Alright you overgrown beast," I said to myself as my aura healed a bruise on my lip. I loaded a new clip into my sniper and aimed it at Rhino boy, who was already charging me once again. BANG! A bullet hits him right in the eye as he screeched to a stop. Perfect, I fired three more bullets promptly. One to the knee, another to the neck and the last to the groin. His aura should prevent serious injury.

His knee didn't give way, like I was hoping for. He did however, grip his neck where my bullet hit and oddly enough, he had no reaction to the crotch shot. In summary, stone knees, eye shots can stagger him, weak neck, and balls of steel. I'll keep that in mind for future shots.

"I'M GOING TO USE YOUR SNIPER AS A TOOTHPICK!" He roared like a maniac as the crowd cheered and the announcer said something inaudible. He bolted full speed towards me. I took a quick glance over his left shoulder to see Layric and Irene in an intense swordsman dual, doing all sorts of parrying moves and swings. Welp, Irene had him busy, not good for me.

I fired a few shots at Scavenger but he powered through and managed to snatch me in the air by my neck.

"Dude, chill!" I protested through his choke, trying to loosen his grip and still hang onto my weapon. I realized that I couldn't take much more of this. My adrenaline rose when I felt my aura quickly draining closer to none.

Suddenly he threw me upwards and punted me across the arena. "SON OF A-" I scream, my voice getting ripped out of me as I sail through the air.

"OOOHHH..." went the crowd in audible cringe as I reached my peak and slammed against the ground. I lifted my face off the ground to see Layric, still being held off by Irene. As their swords clashed I saw layric look over and I think he realized he needed to do something about Scavenger going berserk. Not going to lie, some help would be greeted without protest. Code for: I was fucked.

Layric began fighting more defensively against Irene, limiting his offensive strikes. I saw him reach for the back of his quiver but before he could reach it, Irene hit Layric on his forehead with the butt of her katakana. He staggered back a moment then lost his balance and fell over. Irene looked at him, thinking he was worn down then she happened to notice his aura was still up on the jumbotron. Before she could think, Layric reached for an openable slot on the side of his quiver like he intended to last time. He threw a small blue vial at her feet. Ice spikes sprung up from the ground and surrounded her feet which melded at her ankles.
