Liz backed out of the room and walked into the kitchen.

“Be back for 9:30!” Liz calls. Luke doesn’t reply and grabs my hand and walks out with me. He slings open the door and the shuts it behind us, he doesn’t bother to lock it.

I must admit, as I stand in the cold, I cannot wait for this walk home. I love having Luke in my company, it’s just so nice. He walks forward and our hands entwine once more. We start walking.

“Sorry ‘bout that” Luke says, his voice quiet, but stern. He is staring in the distance, clearly embarrassed.

“Luke, really its fine” I say, nudging him playfully on the arm. He smirks and turns to me.

“I meant what I said before, you know?” He says “I really do like you” His accent makes my heart flutter and I can tell he is sincere.

“Really?” I ask, staring up at him. He is tall for a 16 year old. I, on the other hand am quite tall but not Luke tall.

“Yeah, really” He laughs and shrugs. I realise he has taken his beanie off and his hair is quite wild, I must say. He is wearing the same jacket and is smiling.

“Good” I say, giving him cheesy grin “Because I love you too”

Shit.

He said like.

And I said Love.

Oh no.
