My mouth drops. Shit. I bite my lip. My face looks shocked. I am. I start to blush. My cheeks go red. And I avoid Luke’s glance as much as possible.He can tell I’m embarrassed , he starts laughing.

Then the day gets worse.

It starts raining. Yay.

The rain pours down and Luke is still laughing.

“Sorry-“ I am interrupted as I try to apologize. Luke smiles.

“For what?” We stop walking. His hand touches my cheek, as our hands are still entwined. His hand leaves my cheek and starts to hold my waist. So hot. He smiles and our hands disconnect. His other hand starts to hold my waist also. He smirks. Then smiles.

“Luke-“ I say. He smiles even more.

I can feel my feet leaving the floor. Luke is gentle, like a friendly giant. My feet leave the floor completely. Luke lifting me up in the air and starts to twist. We are going in circles and Luke is laughing. A lot.

“You know what, Charley?” Luke says, almost whispering.

The rain is pouring. Really pouring down.

“I don’t think I love you, Charley” Oh no “I know I love you” ASDFGHJKL MY HEART! “A lot” He adds.

I smile a real big smile. So does he. We both smile a real big smile. He is still lifting me up when he pulls me closer to him. His hands are gentle, but strong, around my waist. I love him. He loves me. We love each other. A lot. A real lot.

He leans me into him and our lips connect. This is a long kiss. A real long kiss.

When we finally stop kissing, he whispers into my ear.

His voice so sweet and cute. He says;

“Charley, I love you”

And I whisper back;

“Luke, I love you too”

He smiles and, with his hands still around my waist, gently, puts me back down on the floor. My converse are finally back on the ground.

We are staring straight into each other’s eyes.

In the pouring rain, this is perfect.

Our hands are once more entwined. I am smiling and so is he. We start to laugh. This is so nice. Luke laughs.

“What’s so funny, big guy?” I say, in the best manly voice I can. He smirks.

“Nothing much” He says, still laughing “Just that, you and me…” He trails off “We should do couple stuff” WHAT “Like romantic and silly selfies, and watch cute movies together”

“So not Ice Age then?” I say, I look up to him, laughing.

“Don’t get cheeky, Babe” BABE! “Anyway” He say, trying hard not to laugh “We should go on dates, I should take you out for dinner , and you should take me to the movies. And I should ask you what your favourite music is, and you should laugh at my hilarious jokes” He trails on again “And I should tell you I love you, and you should say it back. So?”

“So?” He smirks.

“I love you” He says staring into my eyes.

“I love you too, Luke” I say back, smirking.

“A lot”

“A really lot”

We laugh. A lot. I realise that this is the best moment ever. I love him and he loves me.

This is perfect, so damn perfect
