I pulled away after a second. Calum’s eyes widened and he breathed in. I stood up and rubbed my temples. Calum put a hand through his slightly curly hair. It was brown, dark brown, borderline black.

“Calum” I said, but couldn’t add anything because there was nothing to add. I just bit my lip. Hard. There was a long silence, and was only broken when I went to get the plates. I had no idea where they were, but I had to think on my own.

What had I just done? I had cheated on Luke. No I hadn’t. He kissed me. Him. I had kissed him back, but he started it and he made a move on me. Not the other way around. I had no idea Cal liked me. At all.

“Need some help?” Calum’s voice echoed and followed me into the kitchen. I turned around to see him, halfway through the doorway. And damn-He looked cute as hell. But I couldn’t help it. He was gorgeous and I just couldn’t help it. I found myself walking to him, and I also found myself standing on my tiptoes to kiss him. Because I couldn’t help it.

And he couldn’t help it, either. Because he kissed me back.

We made out, for a  while and were only interrupted by a door opening, and slamming.

We pulled away from each other, just in time for Ash to burst in with the food.

“Where’s the plates, you lazy shits?” Ash laughed, and I stared at Calum. He stared back.

“Uh, yeah, sorry, we were, um, watching TV” Calum blurted out and I left his eyes to find Ash’s. His emerald eyes caught mine and he smirked.

“If you’re wondering, Luke is at the shop, with Mikey, they’re buying some food, like desert, and crisps” Ash said, smiling. If he only knew…

I got the plates out, after Ash showed me where they were. I laid them out at the, quite large, table. It had 6 chairs, wondering if Michael had any brothers or sisters. The door slammed and Michael and Luke came in, holding two carrier bags each.

“Hi babe” Luke said, and came over a kissed me on the cheek, making a swarm of butterflies erupt in my stomach. He smiled, after we separated. I just grinned, like a coward. Calum bit the inside of his cheek, and sighed, closing his eyes.

We all got pizza, and talked about tour, food, video games and TV shows. All the time I avoided Calum’s hazel-brown eyes. I couldn’t face them. Or him.

“Charley?” Luke said. I must have zoned out.

“Sorry, um, what?” I said, and Luke laughed at my mistake.

“I said” Luke repeated “If you weren’t dating me, this hunk, who would you like out of the boys, Ash, Calum, or Michael?”  Luke asked, and my stomach was filled with the continuing swarm of butterflies.

“Oh god Luke” I said, rolling my eyes, avoiding Calum’s glare “Do I have to?”I wined. I sighed and the boys laughed. All except Calum. He just bit his lip and looked at the ceiling. He sighed.

“Yes. Yes, you have to.” Luke said, stubbornly. I sighed and thought for a minute.

“Um” I said, wondering what to say “Probably Calum” I said. For the first time in twenty minutes I caught Calum’s glare. He smiled and grinned at me.

“Oooooh” Luke smiled “Thank god this hunk is here to save the day then” And we all laughed. Even Calum

I swear I heard Calum mutter under his breathe.

“If only…”

That was what he said.

“If only…”

That was what he followed.
