I just love him...

“I have...Um” I think, then look at my CD/DVD rack. There is Gnomeo and Juliet, Lion King, a Jennifer Anniston Rom-Com, a documentary on animals and The Big Bang Theory Series 6 DVD Box set.

I read him the titles of the films and box sets and Luke has a minute to think.

“Um, Big Bang?” Luke asks. I just notice he brought all the 6 bags (one Hollister, two of his clothes bag, two book bags and a bag of sweets we didn’t eat at the cinema) upstairs. I grab the book bags and pass Luke his bag. He just looks at the Australian football book. I put the 7 books on my bed, next to Luke. I put the 4 fiction books in my pile on my bedside table. Luke looks up from his book. I start to look through the Australia and New Zeeland’s culture and landscapes.

“Could’ve told you ‘bout that” Luke says, stern but in a joking way.

“So you could have described, in no less than  a 1000 words, what Australian landscapes have changed about Australia’s culture” I say, sarcastically.

“No” Luke says “But I could tell you how to cook a shrimp on the barbie!” Luke laughs, and so does Luke. I love being in his presence.

I just love him…

Luke smiles. “So how about that film?” He asks, politely. He smiles a cheeky smile, and I roll my eyes. He throws a soft toy, aimed at me, and misses by a mile.  I furrow my eyebrows at him. I immediately grab the closest possible soft toy, a purple giraffe with a uncanny resemblance to Luke.

“Hey it’s you!” I say, quickly, and then throw the toy at Luke. My target is surprisingly good, considering the most exercise I have done in the past month was running to Starbucks yesterday. It hits him straight in the face. He catches it after the collision. He throws the toy at me, missing again, then sighs.

“To say you’re a typical fit, punk, cool guy that has an accent, who has a piercing, and plays a bit of sport on the side” I say, smirking.

“Fit?” He says, laughing and lifting an eyebrow up. I can feel my cheeks going red. I know I’m blushing.
